It does particularly well against agro decks, of which there aren't many of at the moment. Although tempo rogue seems like an agro deck, it isn't because it will happily trade with your minions, while taunt warrior punishes decks that like to go face constantly.
i guess its too slow/weak vs kaleseth rogue and warlock and still loses to razakus, bigpriest and jade in lategame... what other decks do we have on ladder... i guess evolve shammy is there too... and that's your ktf meta.
I actually crafted it a few weeks into KFT and can say that, while decently fun to play with (my deck cycles Sulfuras with DMH) it isn’t exactly competitive. Or at all, really.
Ungoro was filled with a lot of aggro and just generally more aggressive decks, making it good in regards to its ability to put down taunt after taunt to stall the game. Also Fiery War Axe allowed warrior to gain early tempo and board presence which helped significantly against pirate warrior and Murloc Palidin other decks that got onto the board early.
Then when KoFT was releases Druids just overshadowed the slow playstyle of taunt after taunt because as it turned out taunt minons are not as effective at actually creating a board as much as they help destroy one. Meaning that even if you got onto the board with this deck, your quest would have to come into play by at LEAST turn 7. After that Jades just took over the board and you couldn't do much except watch as your measly 8 damage just tickles the Druid. You would think brawl could at least keep things in check a bit, but after you brawled there still was that chance that they were still ahead of you because as you just hit 5 or 6 mana, your opponent would already be at 9 or 10 dropping jades like no tomorrow. In addition to that, things like turn 5 Ultimate Infestation or even the amount of ram Druids have just shut you out before you could even say 'Die Insect'. Your only chance to win was either they got the short end of the stick with draw, or you actually got a board of mediocre minions and rushed him down. Either way it was very unlikely.
Also the nerf to Fiery War Axe seems to have killed its early fighting potential as well. This was a welcomed but also an unfortunate change as it killed off the pirate warriors it also killed of most control warriors that we used to see. Suffice it to say that when more faster decks were becoming relevant like Evolve Shaman and eventually Keleseth Rogue as well as it's previous 'good' matchups like Murloc Paladin and Pirate Warrior just took advantage of the nerf to just phase out the deck completely. Just playing taunts combine with basically no Fiery War Axe no longer was enough to stall the inevitable onslaught of minions.
I for one still like it, albeit its relative power has certainly fallen down a lot since early UnGoro. I guess with the new Warrior cards it becomes viable again.
I know quest warrior was popular in the Un'goro meta, but I haven't seen it since Knights of the Frozen Throne. What happened to it?
Its one of the most boring deck in Hearthstone history
People finally realised playing the most rng deck we've ever seen isn't fun
It has bad matchups against pretty much everything that is tier 1 right now.
Why put in so much work to get a hero power when you get slightly worse (but still ridiculous) ones from DKs?

Everyone who played it has dozed off into a coma

Nice
I'm trying it in this Brawl. Seems kinda stupid but picking some higher statted taunts gives me an advantage if I can get it off. Key word being if
