I just started playing Zoo after crafting a Mal'Gannis.. So far I've gone from rank 9 to rank 7 in 2ish hours. Initially I didn't have a Shadowflame but I ran into so many situations where I needed a board clear.
It's a pretty ridiculous card, especially when used with Power Overwhelming on your Voidcaller. You can basically hit face for 7 damage and AoE the opponent's board for 7 damage. And then you get to play a demon for free!
tech card. if you lost board control with zoolock you basically did something wrong.
I don't understand this thinking. It's not like you're always going to have board control as Zoo. Doing massive AoE for 4 mana is good even when you're neck and neck.
Don't like a 1/3.. reliant on Mal'Gannis. Though it might be good against aggro. I think I need another taunt in there.. I'm thinking I might have to replace Gormok. He's good and all, but it might be more important to have 2 sources for taunts.
Nerubian Egg IMO is irreplaceable. The value you get from it is so insane. I guess my deck is more midrange than aggro.
3 cards.Void Caller+Power Overwelming+ShadowFlame. As a Handlock player when i paly zoo i keep the same concept and it's a lot of times that i have the 3 cards need it.Even with one minion on the board with an attack of 3 or more you can have value from SF.

All the reasons posted in this thread as to why people don't run Shadowflame in Zoolock are shitty excuses, the truth is they are not running it because the popular netdecks don't have it. And yes, it's a great card to use in Zoo, as it helps a ton against difficult matchups such as midrange Paladin (once you start losing the board), Handlock (if you have PO + Shadowflame you can actually keep up with Handlock's big tempo turns), and Dragon Priest.
For example, the argument about consistency is not valid, because Zoolock is inherently consistent as is almost any Warlock build thanks to the Hero Power.
Another shitty excuse about not running Shadowflame in Zoo that was posted is that if you lost the board you did something wrong, which is such a bad argument it doesn't even need any refute.
If the argument is to run Shadowflame to regain the board, why on earth does it (seemingly at least) replace one of the best HS cards for keeping a board, Defender of Argus?
It's a combo card. If you are looking to use it then you are waiting, if you are waiting you are not ahead on the board, if you are not ahead on the board you are not winning, if you are not winning by being ahead on the board then this isn't warlock zoo.

Well, that is what OP did (seemingly at least), so I think that is what many assumed (I did at least). A discussion on whether shadowflame fits Zoo obviously needs a decklist or some hint at what it replaces in one of the standard zoo decks.
Also, zoo is actually one of the very best decks in the game at maintaining a board. Perhaps it is a bit silly to say "if you lost the board you did something wrong" very bombastically, but you certainly do have a lot of tools at your disposal for not doing so and as long as you don't overextend you can often rebuild 1-2 times.
Zoo deck is about controlling the board through efficient trades and shadowflame does not fit into this theme, hence it is not included in most builds. The only time it is useful if your enemy is flooding the board as well and you will have the chance to clear at least 3 minions. How many times do you find yourself in this position? If the answer is a lot, then it is a useful card, if rarely, it is just a waste of card in the deck.

These days people only use one, Specially in Zoo you should use one. I play Handlock and I play with two copies of it, I believe its always good to have removals in hand. Many a times I used healbot into shadow flame and board clear which was full of Patron.

Zoo decks are usually composed of cheap minions. It's more effective for board clear to blast a high attack minion.
Power overwhelming. Use it on voidcaller too.
Void Caller+PO+SF=7 dmg at face,free minion from deathrattle+no enemy minions after the SF.That is what i call value.

True but Zoo has lots of buffs. Take a Imp with Abusive Sergeant and you got a hellfire. Next to a dire wolf it's 4 damage. Very easy to use in zoo.
That's a four card combo. How often does a zoo flooding the board have a four card combo?
Zoo is known for its consistency, adding shadowflame lowers it.

Ok i recently cut Nerubian Egg for Earthen Ring Farseer cause i find eggs to fucking slow , but voidwalker !
