Yeah so the idea I think came from seeing Dinomancer and the fact turn 4 felhound seemed to be slightly bad unless you had Malch Imp. Now the thought would be that You just don't really care what you discard. If you discard a mountain giant, Dinomancer can bring back a mountain giant, You discard a ysera, you can bring back a ysera. Lakkari sac seems to be more controlish as a quest I feel so innately you kinda wanna play a defensive deck and let the imps run in every turn to either clear their creatures or go face.
I Think you always quest on turn 1 so you don't discard it.
Turn 2 is generally going to be one of 3 things ---- Tap ----Darkshire ---- Or coin a 3 drop/malch+darkshire
Turn 3 you're solid with 3 drops and coin 4 drops, You're looking to build some huge tempo, You can always tap vs slower decks.
Turn 4 the game opens up a lot, you can eat a devilsaur egg, taunt it, taunt a humongous plant, etc etc. Play Felhound for 2 discards
Turn 5 You basically are just continuing 4 drop plays or doomgaurding if you really want to.
turn 6 is dinomancer or just a continuation of all of your broken low drops / tapping.
Turn 7-beyond is kind of up in the air. As Basically a cock block deck, you're not going to take much dmg unless people manage to chuck dmg over your taunts. I think it can suffer to time warp mage, but You can probably out race slower decks as well.
I don't have Ysera/deathwing/alex/lakki/or clutchmother so chances are I wont be able to test this, but I'm excited to as I get the cards
I though about deck like that but I am not sure that it would work. A control warlock would need spell (board cleaning and single removal) and dinomancer only brings back discarded minions. We will see, I plan to try a classic discolock and a more midrangy type. It will depends on the meta.
I don't like the fact that you cannot control what you are going to discard when you hand is full.
Dinomancer suffer the same problem as resurrect priest : You cannot choose what is going to pop out.
Compare to previous handlock we still miss a good neutral heal, at least shaman loose a lot a spell based burn which don't really care about how many taunt is in front of you face.
I am planning to try hard to play warlock discolock so if both my deck don't work well enough I may try.
Would still
1) Remove ptetorrax, seeing that it is a battle cry : you either have a empty board and it is 4/4 for 4 or you HAVE to destroy a minion to play it. That card demands a deck full of token and low cost minion.
Isn't Mountain Giant exactly the worst possible card in a discard deck?
Not really for 2 reasons. Explaining them to you might be hard if you question why its not good in the first place but i'll try.
First off, only 6 cards in this deck have discards. Darkshire, felhound and doomguard
Second, Mountain giant tends to see play on turn 4-5 or way late game.
If you can play mountain giant on turn 4, you play it over any other cards no questions asked. If you discard a mountain giant, dinomancer becomes insanely good (5/5 summon an 8/8).
So basically there is no time when mountain giant is bad because it either gets discarded by Darkshire (where darkshire draws you card on death meaning you lost nothing and most of the time gain with imp). Comes down on turn 4 because you didn't discard any cards yet, or comes down in the late game where an 8/8 on turn 8 isn't exactly the worst thing.

2) Add the woman who gives taunt.
Egg into ptetorrax is just too strong to not play. It's like not playing tunnel trogg and totem golem, and in the late game you can eat an imp to get value on it. not to mention the worst thing that you can get from dinomancer is faceless shambler which at least is a 1/1 taunt that can save your face a little.
My argument for egg-ptetorrax is that If it happens, you swing the game more than finja. 5/5 and 4/4 with 2 adapts and on turns 3 and 4 and not turn 5 and 6

Thanks for the reply, even if you felt the need to be so condescending about it. I understand that mountain giant is good in warlock and I get that resurrecting 8/8s is also good, but given the nature of this deck and the fact your hand size will be smaller than traditional handlock decks (assuming turn 1 quest and the likelihood of having to play discard cards to maintain tempo), I was thinking that it wouldn't be optimal, especially as a 2 of.
I do like your deck, and I like seeing that you haven't gone the obvious discard-zoo. I hope it works for you.

I wasn't trying to be condescending, I just understand a lot of players on forums look at decks and see one thing and don't bother to look at the other 20 potential outcomes. So when I have to explain it either is going to lead to a fight where the other person stays ignorant because of a single fault or eats up an hour trying to explain it. So I just forewarned you I wasn't sure if my explanation would be enough since looking at its faults instead of its potential is a very negative way to go about deck building. Thank you though, idk how the deck will work or if it will and i probably wont even build it since im missing cards, however I think that I'll definitely be trying it if i ever get the cards.

I did not see the synergy with the quest token. The card may be more consistent than I game him credit for. It will need to be tested in game, at the end it depend on how quickly you can get the quest token rolling.
As I was thinking what would miss your deck is a new kind of giant with the discount parameter being the number of cards discarded during that game
