Had a good streak in legend, went 10-3 and got to rank 185. Lost 2 games to paladins and 1 to druid crazy start. Will do quests in casual now, I have gone far enough for today :D
Edit(09/26): after bouncing up and down +-50 spots finished at exactly rank 100 legend) after going around 6-4 for the day.
I run a similar deck but I'm really struggling agaisnt Dragon Priests, unless they get really shitty draws they almost always win agaisnt me, any tips ?
Like everyone else, I wanna say a big congratz to you. :)
I personally feel too, that a good controlish shaman deck can crush all these standard Control decks like CW, Druid, and even midrange pallys, which has a lot of late game.
A question: Can I add you on my account, cuz I really wanna see how u play this deck on Legend rank. Im very-very interested. I have never been legend, but this deck inspired me to try it next month. Shaman surprises every ladder player, so I just feel it will surely work. :)
Also another question: How do u feel this deck works against handlocks? Every second match of mine are handlocks.
Busy studying for exams, so forgot to keep an eye on the thread. Anyways, I was rank 24 legend yesterday, but had an ugly streak and fell to around 600 legend, but after few games managed to get into 250-300 range again.

Pretty much what Are_you said. You play very slowly, and force them to waste their lightbombs and removal. In late game I try to have 2-3 real cards at most on board and spam totems until I crush him with valiant's value. Try to save shock/hex for chillmaw/velens if you can, and 1 hex for ysera. If you can handle an early cleric you should be heavy favourite, so try to kill it very aggressively, coin totem golem is a fine move too to handle it. Keep your 1 mana spells/chow, 2 drops and ferals. If you have all of those, it's fine to keep flametongue too. If you have at least one of already mentioned, tuskar totemic is a must keep, since he is amazing on empty board.
@Nolo337 check your inbox for my bnet id, will maybe play some games before the end of season. Have an exam tomorrow so depends if I am too tired after.
I played against you yesterday, I was the druid that drew shit for like 5 turns, swipe into swipe into darnassus into darnassus etc... lol.
Grats on doing well with shaman, I love that class too but I feel so helpless against aggro matchups that I just can't find the strength to keep playing it :(
Oh, I remember, played vs you after falling back to 500ish rank, was pretty tilted from other games, but you had poor draws late game.
Thanks for sharing i played a Shaman deck very similar to this with one less feral spirit for one healing wave, and one less thunderbluff for a doomhammer, might be one or two other different cards. I couldnt get legend though i easily consider it to be the most fun deck i have and if shaman were more viable in the meta thats all i would play (never even touched shaman till tgt, so im mad at myself for getting into it when its nowhere near its best)
Ran Paladin to rank 2 then face hunter to my first legend this season and even in legend i cant win that much with my version of this so maybe ill try yours. Ive been using tempo mage without rhonin in legend and undefeated with it so far, its nice being legend at the end of the season because you can switch back to using less competitive but still viable decks like tempo mage or shaman where as before i was in legend everyones tryharding to get it so i couldnt enjoy myself with shaman or mage to hit legend with, i had to use less fun but more viable decks. Couldnt win at all with this mage deck at rank 5 but now that im legend its undefeated lol this games weird. I cant wait to get home and try this, between my mage and this shaman it looks like theres alot of fun to be had for me before the seasons over, smorc hunter and secretdin have been boring for a few weeks now.
End season update(ended 2 hrs earlier in eu for some reason), finished somewhere <200 legend, because I won my last game at around 220 legend, and played vs a control warrior ranked higher than me.
You're still playing the deck in the OP? Well done but me I would be bored to tears if I were to play the same old same old midrange shaman list that's been running around since GvG came out.

Yeah Shaman got a huge boost with those GvG cards totem golem, tuskarr totemic, thunder bluff valiant.

It's still the same midrange shaman archetype, replacing 3 cards doesn't change too much.

Well, I keep my sanity and fun with the game by playing all kinds of decks from all classes apart from shaman in casual and arena.
Those decks range from gimmicks like randuin to competitive decks like handlock, dragon priest, control pala and ctrl warrior. I always make some fun choices in those tryhard decks too, since I want to have fun (bolvar for example). I change those decks constantly, deleting and rebuilding ones I get bored by. I also like experimenting with decks that got some cool tools, like beast druid and different types of dragon decks.
As for why shaman in ranked, I somehow feel the need to prove people wrong about shaman. In gvg and brm, I was running unbound elemental midrange, that isn't really standard or fully similar to tgt shaman(I have it under my decks in my profile).
Didn't play much ranked after quickly reaching rank 5, spent most of my time playing hots and finishing dailys in hs only. Last season was really exciting for me, so I don't want to burn myself out and will decide if I want to go legend again later on.
Well done! I'd love to try this deck if I had Al'Akir and Neptulon.
You can run doomhammer and boom, but that changes the deck from value deck to a more tempo deck, which may be better or worse based on matchups. Harrison can wreck your dreams too though.
Balance between value and tempo (like harrison vs ooze, neptulon vs boom or even both, bgh or second tuskar) is hard to achieve, I believe this list can be teched better depending on your matchups.

Cool! I'm like that too, but I'm EXTREMELY bored of the midrange shaman archetype right now. Anyways, would you add me in-game I'm on EU and I only play shaman in Ranked - globalist#2334 - thanks!
Grats and in a time where shaman is considered unplayable.
No, its not. Stop saying bullshit.
Is shaman unplayable? - No. Shaman can reach legend? - Yes. Is shaman still worse than other top decks/classes? - Yes.
It is considered unplayable. It absolutely is considered by many to be unplayable. I never said they were right. I in fact was praising OP for proving that that consideration wrong.
No, it's not. Again. You're just making stuff. It may be considered bad by some rank 26 players may be, but as a guy above said shaman is really good against CW, druid and okay vs most warlocks and it's like more than a half of current ladder on high ranks.
Also, don't you think that "unplayable" is kinda too harsh for a word?
just don't take this redeyez seriously I remember as him saying that freeze mage was a good counter to patron EleGiggle go back rank 26 KevinTurtle

Have luck on legend ladder and goooo for rank 1.

Congrats for real, Shaman is a labor of love in this meta. Whenever I see a gold Shaman or one that's high on ladder they get a fist bump
You know you're finally an adult when you can just admit that you're Hufflepuff...

New season update : Reached rank 5 already this season, climbed from 12 to 5 with just 4 losses(last 2 losses were when I was at rank 6 already).
