posted a message on Whats the best Esports moment you have ever had in the game?

Thought this would be a pretty fun topic (as long as people stay real and dont bs their stories)

Plenty of funny stories of random rng moments that were just unreal so how about we share some? Ill start.

2 moments in particular im pretty fond of.

    1. Warriors deathlord giving me a Fordring on my turn 3. Saw the screenshot sitting on my desktop this morning, good times, its a shame i was playing pally in the first place though.

    2. On my climb to my first legend i met a guy around rank 3 or 2, we were in a really good game that was going to the end. I had no cards left in hand and put a boom on the board when he had a good size board. He silenced one boom bot, killed boom, and left me with one boom bot while he had 2 sludges on the board with 3 other minions, and 4 health. So with not much to do i said eff it, didnt draw into anything decent, ran the boom bot into the belcher and as i go to concede i hear the sweet sound of victory and noticed i passed 5 minions and hit his face for 4 damage with only one boom bot left to win me the game. To my surprise when i added him he typed in ESPORTS and instead of raging and we had a good laugh over it for a few minutes.

Share some stories i like to hear em so ill read em!

posted a message on Druid is a pretty frustrating class to play against.
    Quote from Pmanda >>

Simple answer is ancient of lore. the sole purpose for it is really to draw into combo. Doesn't need to be nerfed, and neither  does combo, it's not consistent enough and is a bit harder to all of than most. Nothing here to really QQ about.

This. Druids pretty fair imo. I have about 300 wins on druid, couldnt hit legend on it but could with easier decks. And only once out of those 300 wins did i ever get to FON SR INNERVATE SR combo (Thats the truly broken version of the combo not the normal fon, sr). Its not me, druids one of my most played classes, and im not too retarded i usually finish legend in a decent spot. (Can never get druid to legend but i do well with it once i get there? lol) I honestly dont know why this is a thread.

If anything my most favorite comment here, is the list the guy made complaining about the types of decks for all the classes. Didnt see if he was kidding but thats like the jist of this game, everyone thinks everything that they DONT use, is broken or op. If you gather up all the complaints people in this game make you would have hundreds for every archtype for each class. Everyone always thinks everything besides what they play is trash/unfair/op/cancer.

    Quote from BoobTheNoob >>

lots of people rage when I drop Molton Molton sunfury echo molton molton sunfury when they  thought I was freeze instead of echo cuz I run an ice barrier in it xD

Lol i ran into this a few times last season, and then i became the asshole and started saving lightbomb for this in particular. Whats really frustrating is when you do all of those moves you just listed. Just to get lightbombed the next turn lolol. I liked that deck alot though i think i wanna play one.

you missed FoN + SR combo

What i was coming to say.

Getting rushed down b/c its turn 5 or 6 and they have combo in hand...is what i would have voted for

Hey man at least sometimes you can live through that if they arent finishing with it. We all know that combo goes from oh please dont to straight cancer when they play an innervate and another sr in there.

Lets be real the most frustrating way to lose is from your own mistakes not what they did. When you realize oh shit if i wouldve hit face instead of that minion i couldve won and he wouldnt have been able to do this and that and blah blah blah you know what i mean.

I never feel to bad losing, just move on and the games dont take long so thats ok, but when i lose because of a misplay i made its like world war 3 in my bedroom and shit is flying. Funny you posted this because i just realized last night how upset i get at myself over losing from a simple wow i shouldve taken 15 more seconds to think about my hand before playing cards.

I cant express my frustration of losing from my own mistakes, but i cant tell you losing straight up doesnt compare at all for me, to how i feel when i know i couldve won if i didnt just accidentally do that.

Pretty much this.  Losing to patron/frothing is annoying (especially when you could've won the turn after they used it) but more than anything I hate it when my mistake causes my lose, like misclicking, not adding lethal right or incorrect turn order.

Yea theres just no comparison to how i feel when its me and how i feel when its a straight up i got outplayed i lost i did the best i could.

A close second to that feeling though (if you wanna list actual combos) is FON, SR, INNERVATE, SR

Thats some shit right there. Feels so good when you do it, but makes you wanna throw shit out the window when they do. I did it two days ago with 2 5/5s on the board and an azure. Its a huge shame he actually had 30 health when it happened (priest) and that combo won me the game and wouldve still won me the game if he had more than 30 health lol, ONE COMBO and all i did was delay as long as possible until i could do it. Talk about some bs lolol.

    Quote from Konand jump

Yeah, seems like you guys have a point ;)

Well, Ysera it is! I hope it will be really useful not only in Priest. I also dream about Control Warrior (but have almost only Alex for him))

And if you still wanna ride priest to legend then you can at least make dragon priest without voljin as long as you have ysera.

I have said this before and I will say it again:

The thing that I think cripples Shaman isn't so much the Overload itself so much as the lack of interaction with it. Warlocks used to be the same with discarding cards and now they are starting to get cards to synergize it with. Shaman needs Overload synergy, and so far there has only been 2 cards in a total that do it; Unbound Elemental and Lava Shock. Give Shamans more cards to work around or with the Overload and you might just get the class back on its feet. I theorycrafted a couple for my Dragon concepts, which I will post below.

I like your card submissions a ton dude.

Thanks! Did you check my thread or did you just mean these two cards?

Those are just what i saw so i was talking about them? Link me the thread though ill check it out.

posted a message on I don’t "get" Dragon Priest
    Quote from SomeHogFan jump

I watched Kibler hit Legend late in the season with double holy nova and lightbomb with chillmaw instead of vul'jin. 1 shrink & 2 cabal.

Let's be real: Kibler is a God and Priest is his Demi.

People like kolento and him and even reynads first version (he had like the first largly voted on tgt d priest) made it look so stupid good lol. And it can be but you gotta hella practice it, i couldnt hit legend with it but i cruised with other decks i just feel like it relies too much upon opening hand and i think that they ran it to legend because of who they are, its not something everyone can pick up and just run with like face hunter. I dont think its one of the better decks in the meta right now if you wanna hit legend, but id agree that you can definitely climb with it if you are good enough.

posted a message on I don’t "get" Dragon Priest

First off this is a tournament deck, loatheb and lightbomb arent necessary, and this is what he used in the atlc finals or w/e it was called. This exact version isnt good on ladder i ran it too and it wont move you a ton.

Second off. Dragon priest isnt good, it was flavor of the month, and for 2 weeks a few people were hitting legend with it and making it look op, but the be honest most dragon priest players cant make it past rank 7. And youll notice that once you start getting towards lower ranks.

Look at a few other ones on here, its still a playable deck and i won alot around ranks 13-8 with this tournament version but past that zero luck id say take out loatheb and lightbomb and maybe take a look at a few others to see what everyones doing. Loatheb isnt in really any dragon decks that im seeing, and chillmaw plus 2 holy novas plus a lightbomb is way too excessive.

Also chillmaw itself is kind of like a personal preferance, id take out lightbomb but keep that for patron, maybe throw a chromaggus in there for lightbomb.

Fun deck to play but you really gotta put some time in to get legend with it, if you dont draw agent or whelp or at least even a cleric at the beginning (and having a dragon in your hand if you do draw agent or whelp) then you lose like 90% of the time. Its a tempo deck so you gotta have minions up constantly. The deck itself is good but the starting hand on dragon priest is way too important and unfortunately pretty inconsistent at times and is usually what loses for me most of the time. Sucks if it won more itd be all i played its fun.

I think the versions of dragon priest with Voljin are a bit better.

ysera because shes used in more decks than voljin and because honestly priest isnt that great once you get to higher ranks (dragon priest at least) you wont see as many, the majority of priest players in the meta seem to be around ranks 13-8 last season. I only ran into one when i was legend and i dont know anyone who climbed super efficiently with it past rank 5.

Nooope all i did was link it, remember when i told you i had a friend who was rank 2 that couldnt pilot this deck for shit, well i know its face hunter but it still requires some thought, so it was all you and the guy who created the deck. If every deck builder was as nice a guy as this one is, and took the time to answer questions to everyone who ask in the comments while maintaining a solid list, id be linking decks more often.
