I'm not particularly fond of playing TBV turns 5/6/7 because to get a lot of value out of it quickly, I need to have spent 2 mana getting totems that don't get destroyed on turns 2/3/4. It's nice in grindy late game when cards are running out and you can make decent sized minions out of nothing, but I'd rather play most other 5 drops for turn 5. And I'd rather use my earlier turns on Tuskarr Totemics and Fireguard Destroyers or Piloted Shredders.
TBV won't be good unless shamans get a "muster for totems" card, it could forego the weapon and have the ability to summon collectible totems, i know some people are thinking, what if muster for totems summons 3 manatides? well thta would be something like 1 in a million game and it'd suck for your opponent, but shamman already has those kind of effects and play style.

In addition to a "muster for totems", how about a "Totem Challenger" that cost 6 mana for 6/6 body and summons 3 random totems (not from deck)? The addition of 2 cards such as these would make shaman competitive with mid-range and secret Paladin.

I only put 1 TBV in my Totem Shaman deck. Realized after so many games in ladder that he doesn't do much outside of pushing your advantage and 2 is too slow. Rather use the 2nd slot for a 2nd Argus, a Belcher, etc.

Yeah one is enough for sure.
