Oil Rogues are incredibly powerful right now, but for Control Warrior they are basically a free win. Never had any trouble versus them on ladder.
I'm actually 50-50 in 16 matches against Warrior on ladder so far with oil rogue. If I can get board early (southsea deckhand/ SI:7 and Teacher) then it looks good for me. Warrior can still recover with all of the options, but it gives me a better chance at a win in that matchup.
They are the most powerful tempo deck out at this very moment. And things are not going to change at all for weeks I guess, even months I would say. It's not Blackrock that will change the state of this deck... the next expansion (not adventure) will shake things up, but Oil Rogue has proven to be utterly strong against many decktypes. Except Control Warrior...

Pretty sure it's a top tier deck. Arguably the strongest deck right now lol.
It's a top tier one, no doubt. I've faced several of them at Legend last season, and I badly won more then 50 % of my games against them with Handlock (even big AoE clear doesn't screw with taunted giants). But... sometimes, I got so wrecked by some amazing tempo plays of like 4-5 cards... ruining my board and putting myself on a dead-end situation, knowing that I would be dead next turn, no matter what I did.
It's not the strongest deck out there.. simply due to the fact that it requires a lot of skill to use it effectively. But in the right hands, oh man this deck is utterly powerful. Definitely one of the top 5 decks to go to ladder with for any skilled player. Tempo and burst packed in the same deck. I don't believe it took a good amount of time to actually implement the Tinker Oil card into a viable rogue deck...
I mean... I don't know who started this archetype but... he's quite a god player in my opinion. I've tried the deck... and it's pretty solid, even though I'm a newbie with Rogue (and I don't stand this kind of deck, being a more Control oriented player). Still... I manage to rack up some wins in Legend last season with it, when I was having my fun time after my climb.

I think it's probably one of the most overrated decks on ladder at the moment, you just get into absolutely helpless situations when you're not able to establish a clock because you're only playing a dozen minions and the binary nature of the deck means that you "just lose" to a well timed Loatheb, Harrison Jones, Ice Block or excessive healing/armor etc. The deck absolutely mauls other decks that are slow and can't interact with it very well, but I think it has too many problems vs common ladder decks like Mech Mage (Freeze) and Face Hunter (Coin Flip) in order to put up with how easily a single legendary just knocks you out of the game.

Your reading of the deck is wrong. The only crushing bad matchup of this deck is Control Warrior. Even Face Hunter and Mech Mage are ok. Oil Rogue still has many tools to deal with a board... good players knows how to Mulligan accordingly to the matchup.

Not really. Face Hunter is by far the worst match-up for Oil Rogue. I think it's like a 2:8 matchup in Face Hunter's favor. The only time you win against Face Hunter as an Oil Rogue is to go face and win the race. Oil Rogue vs Control Warrior is hard but should be somewhere around 4:6.
Slacking? SLACKING? I don't know what planet you're playing Hearthstone on, but it's the 2nd/3rd most popular deck I'm seeing right behind Mech Mage and Face Hunter.
Oil rogue is a good deck, definitely viable, but I would not call it the best deck. I think hunter is stronger at the moment. Also does not help that oil rogue's best matchup is priest and it is almost non-existent in the meta. Beside that, it is still strong, but there is a reason it is not that popular, it is difficult to play well and nowhere near as good as rogue was in the past.
^ Oil rogue also destroys paladins and guess what deck is being played a lot on ladder? Yup, paladin. It also helps that almost nobody is playing warrior.

I haven't seen paladin in a while. The meta is dominated by hunters, mech mages and oil rogues, paladins and priests are nowhere in sight.
Against control warrior, always i mulligan for my low mana minions.I play like face hunter and i do not stop to attack.for me,it's 50-50.on the other hand, facehunter is most of the times a los mu for me.dunno what i am doing wrong.Mech mage on the other hand is a free win.

Is Oil Rogue in your guys' opinion dead in the Current Meta?
Dead? I'd say it's the opposite.
the 13/4 assassin's blade i just equipped makes me think it's still ok... 28 damage burst... leeroy be jelly

I agree with all of you. Oil Rogue in my opinion is one the strongest, most strategic, and definitely one of the most fun classes out there.
I finished in top 100 NA the last 2 seasons with Oil Rogue. ;)
Finished top 12 at Blizzcon World Championship 2015 :)

Nope. Oil Rogue with Healbot is slightly favored against Face Hunter.

Oil Rogue was born this meta, so no way dead. Actually is another miracle, and since every rogue since Naxx had to just play miracle, no way dead.
