posted a message on Is Power Creep Getting Out of Hand?
    Quote from Crawford881 jump
If you really want to talk about power creep, you need to look at cards that used to be played a lot, and aren't now, and consider why.  Sludge Belcher isn't "strictly better" than Shieldmasta, since Belcher costs one more.  But Tazdingo dropped out of the meta when Sludge Belcher became available.

Wrong, many top streamers run Tazdingo instead of Belcher when they have too many 5 drops in their decks. Tazdingo still sees play even though Belcher is more appropriate for the majority of constructed decks.

posted a message on Will The Grand Tournament help us put an end to the aggressive decks or help them?

There's no indication of that yet from the cards that have been released. However, with the focus on repeated use of hero power (which is an anti-tempo play) there need to be tools to stop rush and face decks from steamrolling the opponent.

I'd like to join on EU, Battletag is Lucid#2380. I play mostly freeze mage, control warrior and oil rogue. I think I'd fit right in :)

Cost for a deck doesn't factor at all into whether it is strong in the meta

posted a message on Is Warrior a Strong Class in the Current Meta?

Control Warrior is definitely strong in the current meta. It counters two of the most popular decks - Oil Rogue and Face Hunter - while having decent matchups against Midrange Hunter and Mech Mage. Combo Druid and Midrange Paladin can be tough, but they are winnable given the right draws.

posted a message on Oil Rogue Slacking in the Current Meta?

Oil Rogues are incredibly powerful right now, but for Control Warrior they are basically a free win. Never had any trouble versus them on ladder.

posted a message on Is Baron Geddon a must use?

Baron Geddon does a lot of work in the current aggro meta, saved my ass a bunch of times. Craft him if you are serious about laddering with control warrior. Although I'd recommend crafting Harrison Jones first since you seem to be missing that.

posted a message on Freeze Mage, viable?

Freeze mage is definitely viable. Warriors are scarce in the current meta and every other matchup is winnable (although oil rogue is tougher than most).

posted a message on Northshire Cleric Turn 1

Play northshire against warrior only if you have a PW:S. It's very difficult for them to remove a 1/5 northshire in the early game so you can expect it to live for a couple of turns.

Deathwing is a really fun card. You can play him in control warrior / control priest if you like, he isn't terrible there. Don't DE!!

posted a message on New Card - Antique Healbot

Can we take a minute to laugh at how wrong everyone was about this card?

Pretty horrible imo. Heal isn't that great and we've got far better options already. I don't see a possible reason this should be taken over Earthen Ring Farseer ever. Dropping nothing but a 3/3 on turn 5 might as well loose you the game.

Yeah, not overly excited about this card. I can't see any legitimate constructed use and in arena, the other 2 common choices had better be pretty terrible for me to pick this guy.

They put this card in the wrong slot(5). This will not see constructed play.

This card could (barely) see some game in constructed, since it gives classes that can't heal a way to do so.

3/3 for 5 is pretty depressing. Healing Touch is nice but very situational and definitely not worth the extra mana.

bad unless they add a side deck.

Yep the only option i see this card is a 1 of in shaman deck vs some meta.

I can see this card been played for funsies using Recombobulator. Below average card.

This card is trash tier. If it's 4/4 then may be. 3/3 is just... horrible stats.

posted a message on how to beat hunter and rush decks as freeze mage?

Explosive sheep is great for clearing zoo boards. Mulligan the card so you can play it turn 4, then follow up with a turn 5 frost nova (with doomsayer if possible) then you're good for a turn 6 blizzard and a turn 7 flamestrike. Use alexstraza to heal yourself against zoo (the lock will be tapping himself down for you). If you get the right draws then this matchup isn't too bad.

Hunter is much tougher though, haven't played against them since GvG but I think the matchup might be winnable now that Flare has removed from their decks.
