So I am enamored with Dragon Priest (I have been having pretty good success with Kolento's famous "37"-0 version), but I also love the nuke-tastic elements of a classic control priest running Auchenai Soulpriest.
What would a hybrid dragon/auchenai version look like and how viable would it be? Here is my current incarnation:
It has many of the classic synergies (Circle of Healing + Auchenai Soulpriest/Northshire Cleric) plus extra damage/healing throughput thanks to Justicar Truehart. The dragon synergies work as expected, but the deck still feels a little clunky.
I tried the traditional auchenai kit (soul priest,COH, zombie chow, inj blademaster) with dragon and it works pretty well. Most people don't expect the soulpriest board clear with dragonpriest
Interresting. I play a classic control Priest with Justiciar and it works pretty well. Nice deck. There is personally one thing i would try to change in this deck: i would maybe replace Dragonkin Sorcerer with Hungry Dragon. Even if you have some buff spells in your deck, to play it out and gain benefit from it, you would need at least 2 buffs on it. While Hungry Dragon gives you a target on the other side to trade one of your minions in, heal it and draw maybe even a card.
