I don't doubt it could be Menagerie Warden all over again. Besides Dragonfire doesn't kill Priest's two eternal enemies: Azure Drake and Twilight Drake. Anyway, a board clear is fine by me. Though Pint-Size Potion + Cabal is will be the most triggering thing ever.
Nope. But pintsized + SW:P or Cabal takes care of them.

or bookworm. Priest going to be insane.
Maybe cut deaths. pintsized and pain should be good enough usually. Entomb for big threats.
Because whiners don't want the game to be balanced, but want another class to become broken while the last OP one is reduced to dust. During the Purify era, people didn't stop circlejerking about Priest, and Blizzard delivered the orders, just like they did with Shaman.
I don't see how this is community's fault. People weren't asking for Priest to be broken, they were asking for it to be viable and competitive. Blizzard are the ones in control of the game. They can either attempt to deliver the game to a better, more balanced state, or they can do what they have been doing - straight up put a less played class to the top without caring about how it will reflect on the game. It's in their hands to either cater to one part of the community, or to the whole of it (which obviously is a lot more complicated and takes more effort and resources etc).
I love Priest, I do want it to be viable, just as I want to see a dream state where each class is actually potent and has multiple ways to play. At the end of the day Blizzard are the ones who can either step up their game, or keep delivering band-air solutions to satisfy a certain portion of the audience while causing other problems as a side-effect.

Maybe most weren't, but I've already seen countless posts of people being more than happy that Priest is gonna be broken as "revenge" for the Shaman era. Probably plenty of people wanted Priest to be balanced too, but the people who cry are the ones who make themselves heard the loudest.

I don't think anybody is getting heard as far as Team 5 is concerned. They've ALWAYS built the flavour of the month upon completely broken cards, from mechs to grim patron to midrange shaman to secret hunter to, soon, dragon priest.
I don't recall there ever being a dominating deck without it being broken in some way.
Yeah I would agree with you that vindictive mentality to buffing/nerfing isn't right and a bit close-minded. Both us players and Blizzard as a company need to be looking at a bigger picture - which in ideal world is 9 balanced classes - and striving to achieve it,
Why can't the game be balance for all classes? Other than have a specific class to act as a broken class. I prefer all classes are balanced and then we all play just according to skills. ;(
I find it interesting how people seem so convinced priest is going to be broken. Honestly, what did they give priest that is so incredibly OP so far? A good boardclear? Priest can't function without it and lightbomb is way better than dragonfire potion for the same mana. Pint sized + horror isn't even as reliable as equality consecrate and cost an equal amount of mana. The only card so far that is obviously out of line is Drakonid Operative. That's one card. Shaman needed a lot more than one card to get to this point.
Warlock (and mage, yawn) just got another boardclear as well. And this is good. If heathstone wants to become better than a game of who snowballs first and have a wider variety of decks, boardclears are incredibly important. This is why I hope the goons are good as well. This build your own minion mechanic makes it so you actually have to think about ordering instead of mindlessly playing your most powerful minion every turn. And they have a very good priest counter in dopplegangster.
What I see looking at this expansion is that they are actually trying to bring the power level of classes closer together by giving each the tools they need without fear of making them too good. Everybody talks about priest, but have you taken a good look at the newly revealed hunter cards, for example? Now think about how priest will beat that with the cards revealed so far. It's not that obvious which deck will be stronger.
The truth is I don't think any of the Priest archetypes are going to be oppressive. We get a ton of cool and powerful things, but all of the Goons classes seem to be getting cool and powerful things, and so far Kabal has been pretty good to Warlock and Mage as well (I'm sure Lotus will be strong, so far the set design seems pretty consistently powerful). Even once we have the Lotus announcement I'd be shocked if anyone could properly predict the upcoming meta, so your energy is probably better spent considering what deck types you think are going to be strong/fun and less energy thinking we're going to be slaves to our new Priest overlords.

Dragon priest > reno priest or the other way around?
Dragon Priest by a mile. Reno Priest isn't even on the same tier as Reno lock or Mage. So if you ever draw into your new legendary and shadowform you save two mana a turn. meh.
I actually am pleased with what they have done with priest. Yes they got a ton of strong cards, but all the strong cards don't necessarily fit in the same archetype whereas Shaman got cards you could put in any deck and still be strong.
People claim that freeze mage is going to ruin dragon priest and keep him in check? With the operative priest is likely to have at least one ice block and with one eater of secrets as a tech choice, Anduin is going to ruin freeze mage.
Well. I don't think you understand the mechanic if you think operative is likely to give you Ice block. The odds are not good that will happen, actually. And so what if you do? I doubt any legit Dragon Priest deck is going to run any heals, it just makes your deck worse, so they'll just kill you the next turn.
Same with eater of secrets. You're going to remove a Dragon for a 4 mana 2/4 unless your opponent has a secret AND you draw eater AND play it in time AND again.. who cares? Priest is such a cake match up for freeze you don't need block.
Freeze is a shit deck and hard countered by several meta decks but yeah, it's going to wreck Dragon priest .
I also never said keep it in check. Dragon priest will be rampant. Freeze mage will be very rare but still exist because when there is a tier 1 deck it preys on people play it. And that one out of 40 game is just agonizing to play.

A 1 mana minion that gets +1/+1 each time you play a death rattle?!
why even bother playing cards?!? Hunter is going to be so op!!!!!!!!!!!!
Blizzard is so incompetent.

Ya. that three drop too. WTH. 10 stats for 3 mana.
Guys if you though Dragon Priest was bad, get ready for Inspire Reno Shadowform Priest to break the meta. No joke.

Who's the Beatdown?
The best part of a meta with lots of Priest and Warlocks?
....lots of freeze mages to prey on them. Get ready for that interactive game play!
Dragon priest > reno priest or the other way around?
So....dragon priest withouthe legendarys?
I dislike playing against priest. And that is mainly because I like to play control decks. Entomb is a nightmare to deal with.
If control dragon priest becomes popular I will probably start playing some sort of whacky combo deck.

Give Valeera some good cards instead the usual crap and she beats all priests around.
