Effect = Draw a card. Silence the next friendly minion you play.
Description = This effect will trigger before battlecries are implemented meaning that you basically play the minion as is with stats. I feel this would open the door towards many different archetypes, especially since many minions have good stats, but have a bad battlecry to go along with them [Give opponent mana crystal', deal 4 damage to this minion', etc.]. It also allows you to time out this effect (essentially using it as a Hero Power when you have 2 remaining mana on a turn).
Pretty good idea, but still the "problem" people have with it is its overcost not its ability, drawing a card costs around 1 mana and Silencing normally costs .5 mana or +1/+1 stats, but I really like your idea this would make different archetypes considerably playable :D
Nope, still trash. I came up with a much better version yesterday:
Cost: 2 mana
Effect: Draw 2 cards. If you draw a minion, silence it.
Basically, any minion you draw with the card has its card text removed. This is the drawback that allows it to cost 2 mana (normally, drawing 2 cards costs 3 mana). However, the drawback can also be used to your advantage, if you build your deck around it...
OMG could we move on finally? Demonfuse was much worse, Poisoned Blade was much worse, and I could go on. Its not even the worst card of the set, could you guys please stop these QQ threads and accept that priest got a shitty card?
That title belongs to that spider 1/3.
It's funny cuz priest isn't the first place even when it comes down to get worst cards.

That's not comparable at all. Those cards came from an EXPANSION, where each class got 9 cards. Both Warlock and Rogue were doing well at the time, and you know what's just as bad as either of those cards? The cards Priest got from TGT (Convert, Confuse, and Power Word: Glory). Another difference is that Priest has been the laughing-stock of Hearthstone since Standard released, it's been addressed to Blizzard numerous times, and they've commented on it. It's by FAR the lowest-tier class (and the figurative gap between the bottom class, Priest, and the second-bottom class, Paladin, is much larger than the figurative gaps between top-tier classes like Shaman and Warrior). Their response was to print this card. However, the biggest difference here is that this is an adventure: where each class only gets 3 cards. Frankly, it's embarrassing for Blizzard that they chose to use Purify to take up a slot.
I dont think thats any better, acutally worse, if thats even possible. Since any silence deck partly relies on the fact, that they can dump those "Cant attack" minions on board and opponent will most likely ignore them (if not u dont even have to silence them to get value), with your change, u cannot silence what u already played and u instantly made the minion u just played an immediate threat, dont think thats worth 2 mana investment in advance.
I'm not really a fan of the "what-if"s that people throw out, because they just want to change things completely. The only way I'd see to play the original card is if they added "and give it 2 health" at the end. No other rewording or whatever can justify its use.

NA golden heroes: Hunter, and Rogue! Let's try for Paladin next!
does no one remember when priest was good? you'd click on play, wait for the little spinny thing to finally settle on 'worthy opponent' and you'd get all excited, "oh good, who am i gonna play?!?" and then it would be a priest....and then you'd say "oh @#$% another stupid priest @#$%...now i have to play my deck all stupid playing around constant board clearing, card stealing and healing...man, why did i click play? i don't even want to play now"
why would we ever want to bring that back? priest is still too strong , they need to make it even worse, so it can only beat other priests

It's not a bad idea - can have some synergy with things like Injured Blademaster -, but still weak. Compare to cycling cards like Battle Rage or Shield Block...

Best fixes are make it cost 0, remove the word friendly, or toss it in the trash.
