I still don't know about Shade of Naxxramas tbh... Is that a list from a tournament or did Amaz used it to ladder?
Shade of Naxxramas was in Kolento's version. He switch out x2 Harvest Golem for x2 Shade of Naxxramas. 4/4 for 3 mana as Harvest Golem is a good deal for trading minions, etc... Shade of Naxxramas, you can both saving up strength, and can attack anytime for trading. I guess both benefited, but the things is. If you unlucky and people got their own board removal even stealth minions, then Shade of Naxxramas gone for no good while Harvest Golem respawn a Damaged Golem. It either way between those 2 cards. Your choices to pick...
Yeah i guess it's pretty much about personal preference between these two.
One note though about Shade that has happened quite a few times these past few days : with all the Hunters lurking around, getting your Shade unstealthed by Flare then Hunter's Marked to death is a nasty experience...
Don't rely too much on them agains Hunter to get rid of the upcoming Highmane :/
From my experience i've dropped all copies of Kodo. Right now, with so many deathrattle minions it's not enough to get into play a simple 3/5 at 5 mana cost. Plus the Egg is a real problem with this card :/
Still playing with Kel'Thuzad in my list though, i love it... Too bad he isn't one mana less expensive :p
Agreed on Kodo. I'd much rather have a couple extra taunts, so I'm still running 2 x Sunwalkers in that slot. They save me often vs. zoo and hunters.
Ok i'm onboard with the Shade hype... After facing more and more Priest decks lately with 2 Cabal Shadow Priest i really like the Shade more rather than the Harvest Golem. Harvest is just a liability to drop on the board during late game as it will probably get stolen by the Cabal.
Shade, played early or late won't put you into that position and actually it's a real asset from my current game environment experience!
The problem i see here is that tournaments lists are generally very different from Ladder lists. In tournament you have multiple decks at your disposal to win while on ladder you simply try to have the best overall % to win against all deck types.

Hello. How are you? One of my friend just told me there new updated of Kolento's Deck, and he forgot to tell me the updated was tournament version instead. In tournament, don't you have to play different deck vs. different classes? So isn't this mean you play just like Ranked, or Casual? Or you mean something else? Would you mind to explain more details?
And, I'll check out Kolento's stream to clarify. If that changed I just made a few days ago only for tournament then I'll probably change back to V.1.3.
Yeah, this is his deck from the last tourney. I don't think it will work as well on the ladder since the only card draw is 1 x acolyte so if you face a lot of a zoo or shaman for instance, you're going to have a rough time unless you get lucky and draw consecrate early.
It depends of the format of the tournament but if it's from the Prismata Cup, each deck could be played to a maximum of 3 times whether you loose or win with it since the games were in best of 7 matches.
So you plan the 3 decks you're about to play and specialise each of them for certain match up you expect you will face.
On the contrary, on ladder you have to be the most all around effective :)
But Paladin is still very strong in the current meta and will stay like that after the nerf is on and the ladder reset next season.
EDIT: I was thinking of making a mulligan guide for our Paladin's players. Do you guys wanna spend some times with me to created a guide? All helpers will be credits. What you guys think? :)
It's true Control Pally does well against other control decks. Handlock is such an easy matchup now that Leeroy is nerf.
...But Zoo is still a tough one even for Pally... unless you have Consecration or Pyro/Equality combo first 4-6 turns, you're screwed... The only Pally deck that is consistent with high win% against Zoo is Koyuki's Zombie Chow deck, I think he also has a Mind Control Tech as well.
That's why i keep in my starting hand any Consecration, Equality or Pyro if i feel it's a Zoo (in the lower ranks or after season reset). Most of the time it makes the game easier.
I always get a little nervous when I fought against Priest, because I knew 1 cards of their whole hands. 1 may Mind Control, and it waiting for something. But I try to bait that card out as much as I could before I summon Tirion.
Warlock sure does getting popular after Hunter nerf. I also meet Priest during climbing the ladder. I just saw Kolento make 2 changed today which it seem he add x1 Zombie Chow and Kel'Thuzad. Not make it official yet until I saw his own deck updated. But yeah, may this help slightest bit.
KT has always felt like a win more card in most decks but Paladin looks like the best deck to use him.
Just got BGH back into the deck list permanently right now, too many Giants are played in so many decks (Handlock, Mage, Shaman, even played a couple of Rogues using Molten!)

Thank You for the explained @jeffy777 + Shadowmantle! :)

Sure!
I really think Paladin will be on the long term one of these decks that is always fit for the meta.
Right now it dominates priest, has a great match up against Warrior Control, and can wreck Zoo easily enough thanks to AOE and Pyromancer.
With enough dedication and practice you can make it to Legend each season with it.
It's true Control Pally does well against other control decks. Handlock is such an easy matchup now that Leeroy is nerf.

Once us Paladin get a hold of early game. Paladin got higher winning percentage as mid-late game went on.

Exactly! But you have to stay on guard for the pesky Mind Control of the Priest :/

Well with mostly Zoo and Handlock right now after the reset i can't say i'm having a lot of success with Control Paladin right now... :/
