Until now, mage just received 1 spell from the witchwood expansion. And I started to think how strong was uther during the un'goro season with his really small taunt pool.
A lot of bad spells are rotating out to wild and that, if I did the right math, turns glyph into a even better spell.
Right now, without any spells of witchwood and taking off all the spells from the year of the kraken, mage has 30 spells (31 with the quest, but this one cannot be discovered) . Of these 30, 11 I think are really bad, 13 really good and 6 are in the middle. Making the math. The chances of glyph discover at least one good spell is 85%. The odds of just bad spells is almost 5%. And based on that, I think mage is going to bee pretty strong in the next expansion. Actually I need ur help to be sure about what remaining spells are bad or good.

Good: glyph, frost bolt, fireball, flames trike, meteor, arcane intellect, polymorph, counterspell, spellbender, frost nova, blizzard, explosive runes, Pyroblast
Bad ones : mirror image, arcane missiles, glacial mysteries, deck of wonders, vaporize, frozen clone, mana bind, lesser ruby spellstone, breath of sindragosa, arcane explosion, simulacrum.
In the middle: mirror entity, ice barrier, shifting scroll, dragon's fury, molten reflection, cone of cold
They are revealed 4 mage cards, more spells to come.
Also I dont agree with your bad cards - Arcane Missiles saw a lot of play in the past and with the new Vex Crow they might see comeback (along with Mirror Image maybe), secrets Frozen Clone and Mana Bind aren't bad either. Lesser Ruby Spellstone might be a solid Cabalist's Tome replacement in some kind of control/elemental mage. Breath of Sindragosa and Arcane Explosion are meta dependent but can shine in aggro/tempo metas like a tech card. And Simulacrum is a long story short, "Some day I'll be just like you."
