My wife and I were reeeeally excited to see and play this card. (As are many people including the design team!) We are both f2p and it is a great opportunity to try out new decks and cards.
During the reveal stream, Day9 and Mike showcased what it's like to actually use him and to tell the truth, we are very dissapointed that there isn't any animations regarding Whizbang. Just like Baku and Genn, we feel Whizbang should get a game startup animation. What's the point of crafting Whizbang but never seeing him again for the rest of the game.. ever?
My personal suggestion/choice would be that he says " This will be wonderful!", while spiraling rainbows (just like in his art) create/place the deck for you in the deck slot. This way you actually feeeel like you're using the card, as will your opponent.
Tldr: Whizbang should have a startup animation for each game like Baku and Genn.
As much as I personally dislike this card, I was also really disappointed with the lack of animation. Saying that your "hero becomes Whizbang" felt misleading when the demo match started and it was just druid. No Whizbang hero portrait with the druid hero power, no Whizbang turning into the druid, just Druid. I guess there's the small advantage in a match of having that mystery of "which deck are they" that disappears with a Whizbang startup animation (which recipe decks definitely need given their often weak builds in comparison to top tier meta decks), but this isn't a card you play to try and get to legend outside of challenging yourself, so why not just give us a fun animation, maybe even let him keep his portrait for the game and give him some fun emotes?
In short: I disliked this card before I saw it in action, and now I am disappointed in how lackluster the card I dislike is.

I thought, he'd be his own hero with emotes and all. Instead, it ended up just being a "play random pre-built deck" option. Kind of disappointing, really.
mby so ur opponent doesn’t know right away what deck ur playing?
on another unrelated topic: which decks are possible?is there a list somewhere
Blizzard said it will be one of 18 deck recipes that will update with every expansion, 2 decks per class, and never the "classic" decks. So when Boomsday launches next week, playing Whizbang will get you either a Witchwood deck recipe or a Boomsday deck recipe.
Peter Whalen also mentioned that the Witchwood deck recipes will be updated to include new synergies from Boomsday.
I assume going forward, this also means every time an expansion drops, the recipes get updated, meaning Witchwood will leave and be replaced by whatever the end-of-year expansion is in December.

A start-up animation for the one who plays would be nice, but your opponent shouldn't be able to see you're playing Whizbang.
Concealing deck information is nice and all, but I suspect people who actually want to play this card don't care about losing a few percentage points. Showing off the swag and memery is much more important. If they were concerned about winning, they'd be playing real decks
True, I dont think its that hard to change for example in-game portrait to custom one(look that we already see whizbang portrait when we hit play button and we need to pick a deck)...but I think Blizzard is too lazy to change this.

Agree
They want your opponent has no idea you are playing a premade deck (I guess). But everyone will realize soon what's going on..
Anyway, good to see him through evolve/devolve + return in hand effects...

How can I contact the big boss to suggest this?
Agree.
But maybe oppo shouldn’t get the information.
Try it in Hearthstone Reddit.
I was planning on crafting this gold, but if there's no animation or hero change, probably not.
But the golden version makes the random deck you get have all golden cards. Literally the most value you can get out of a golden card.

Has it been confirmed golden whiz creates golden deck? If there’s no animation in game to show it, I’d be concerned it might not create gold
Yes, Blizzard showed how golden whiz works during final reveal stream
Great, thanks
Yes it does.
