ive been playing since WotOG, and I never got a chance to play with Yogg. I’ve seen a lot of streamers use him, as well as a ton of friends.
Once the expansion hits and I craft everything I want, is Yogg worth crafting? I love meme decks, so he seems like a sweet card, but at this point I can’t justify the 1600 dust.
You kind of missed out on pre-nerf Yogg which was one of my favorite cards of all time. If they ever give him the Molten Giant love I would say craft him ASAP.
* However, save the dust since we are so close to an expansion. After the nerf, Yogg suicides himself more than you would think initially, and hence lost fun-value. Still amazing to watch the show when he is poppin off, but there will be another fun card soon worth 1600 dust. :)
This is date when I opened him. That moment changed my life. Don't believe what they say about Yogg-Saron. He is the most balanced card ever printed. He gives and he takes away. He saves you then the next time he abandons you and kills you. He buffs himself and the next time he commits suicide. People hate him because they don't understand him. He brought balance in the game. Every other card is one dimensional. Does the same thing everytime. He is the balancer, the savior, the destroyer.
Life and Death.
Jokes aside if you have every important legendary both in wild and standard then craft him now and craft 2 Deck of Wonders too for good mesure. But because there will be 2 legendarys/class every expansion it will be hard to keep up with dust:/
While I think he is still really fun, especially if you like those types of decks like me, but the spell pool has gotten pretty ridiculous over the past year, so I wouldn't recommend the craft now.
Two things other people have said that I want to reiterate: 1) He suicides himself WAY too early a vast majority of the time. 2) There are other "fun" cards that are worth the craft over Yogg these days.

Nature is the Day. Man is the Sun. Woman is the Moon. The Stone is the Sky. The Art is the Way.
Yogg is my spirit card. I crafted a golden version when WotOG was released. I built a freeze mage deck around him with as many spells as I could. Trying to survive until the peak of RNG. I lost most games but at least he didn't Shadow Word: Death himself instantly and become a 10 mana do nothing.

any thoughts?

I play wild too. It seems like a sweet card for memes, as well as winning you random games. They should unnerf him but that won’t ever happen.
Is the nerf a huge deal that reduces the fun factor?
The nerf only made it so that his battle cry stops when he dies, he's probably the most fun legendary in the game to play.
He can wreck himself with first spell or fill your hand and board and heal you.
Definitely meme, 100 % RNG.
I did crafted him a while ago and I use him in spell heavy decks, even in Spell Hunter :D

Was my all time favorite card in hearthstone before nerf.
Yogg is fun, soooo fun!

After the nerf, i have yet to lose against Yogg.
While i have yet to win thanks to him, after the nerf.
There's nothing funny in seeing him swallow the whole turn 10 to cast a couple of useless spells before committing suicide.
You would regret crafting him now.
Yogg was fun at one point. And then the fire nerf attacked.
