I find kind of weird that no renolock plays corruption. I run it and i like it a lot. Turn one opponent plays trogg? Corruption. Has he played imp gang boss? Corruption. Some priest minion with a lot of health? Twilight drake with 9 hp? Corruption. I have (lets say) a 3/3 and the opponent another 3/3,a 2/1 and a 2/2? Corruption on the 2/2, so that he can't trade optimaly. What do you guys think?
It's just a decent card I think, but on Handlock that I'm playing, from Dark Peddler when I play it I always ,when I can, I choose Corruption and it works well, but normally I wouldn't add it to my deck.
Might be a legit meta snipe, silences are a lot less common than they were back when it was established to be a bad card. I think mainly because the opponent still has the option to do something before the effect occurrs, even if that is just going face, giving your opponent options is not something you want to do. Being an unexpected card can go a long way though.
2. It take one slot in your deck you want to fill with high value/impact card
hard removal for 1 mana is the most value you can get out of a card though
True the card has value but as he also stated it is to slow and it does give your opponent options. Maybe he would rather trade than go face and kill a minion you would rather save. I've faced a lot of corruptions and only a small % of the time it felt like hard removal, most of the time I just trade away.

I think part of the problem historically is that it is always a 1 for 1 trade, while your opponent gets an extra turn of value out of the minion. This can mean more face damage or simply trading away the corrupted minion into your minions. At worst, it gives your opponent more value out of minions like gadgetzan or ysera. The only advantage that corruption gives is its cheap cost.
Naturalize is another good example. The removal it offers rarely justifies the cards you give your opponent. All that being said, I think corruption is probably generally better than naturalize and if you are having success with it then by all means, keep running it.
Go ahead and try it over 50-100 games. You'll find out soon enough why it's not run. There's a reason why top meta decks usually have extremely tight lists with only a few flex spots.

1. You can get it from Peddler if needed.
2. It take one slot in your deck you want to fill with high value/impact card
3. Effect is slow. Even if you corrupt that Faceless you still will get 7 into your face, which is not very smart.

Yeah corruption on emperor or grimestreet enforcer.... not so good

It's simply too slow for the current meta, and slow for previous meta
