Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gunnolf, and I am originally from the Land Down Under a.k.a. Australia. I am an avid gamer that has acquired a real passion for card games, which originated from my humble beginnings as a Yu-Gi-Oh collector and eventually grew from my dabbling in Cardfight Vanguard and Buddyfight, until we reached the game we know as Hearthstone.

I've played Hearthstone since the days of classic, with multiple accounts on both EU and NA servers. Despite having reached the Rank of Legend and my own personal mentality of equating 'having fun' with 'winning', I am not really a fan of meta power-grinding & net-decking, not that there is anything wrong with that. Therefore, I enjoy thinking about new, cool and fun deck ideas that push boundaries while also allowing you to win and those are what I want to share with you guys every-time I post a decklist.

I have presently become a contributing writer to WILDHS and will be posting articles there on a semi-regular basis, regarding deck-archetypes the status of the meta as well as how to get the most fun out of this game even if you aren't a big spender. If any of this sounds interesting, then I highly recommend that you check out of the website, as the writers and the owner himself are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet with great in-game knowledge (link to be website can be found HERE). You can also follow me on Twitter for latest updates.

If you genuinely like my content and would like to see me produce more of it, then please consider supporting me on Patreon. This is by no means necessary but it will definitely help me out in the long run. Thanks for Reading ^^

Deck Introduction

Greetings fellow Truth-seekers and welcome back for another exciting deck-reveal. Considering that K&C just launched, I thought I would go the extra mile and release three decks simultaneously, each one of a different archetype and for a separate class. If you would like to view the other decks, simply scroll to the bottom of this guide and click the link provided. However before you do that, allow me to introduce you to the present list which aims to take advantage of the very wide arsenal of weapons available to Lady Liadrin, Uther and of course Arthas. So without further ado I am very pleased to present to you my iteration of Armory Paladin.

What is the Purpose of this Deck?

The primary objective at hand is to have fun and win at least half your games while doing so. In order to accomplish that, I did not go all in on the Furnacefire Colossus synergy by including tons of weapons. That strategy does not require a lot of ingenuity and is quite heavy on the RNG aspect in so far as hoping you draw your Furnacefire Colossus and then once played further hoping your opponent does not have an answer.

Card Choices Explained

Below you'll find reasoning as to why certain cards were included in the present list.

1) Muster for Battle: Is one of the best cards available to paladin at the present time and does wonders at allowing you to seize board control from your opponent. Additionally, it provides synergy for Sunkeeper Tarim’s battlecry. On a final note, it is not actually a weapon so you don’t mind expending it since it doesn’t offer anything with regard to your Furnacefire Colossus.

2) Rummaging Kobold: Is an extremely important addition to the deck from the new expansion since it can reload your hand with weapons you’ve destroyed throughout the game thus allowing you to buff your second colossus or utilise them as removal and/or face damage.

3) Spiteful Smith: At 5 mana it is a great drop to bait out some removal before you slam down your colossus on the field. In addition to the above, its enrage effect can make even your weakest weapon a force to be reckoned with.

Alternative Deckbuilding Options

So instead of creating additional decklists on Hearthpawn (for the views and the clicks :p), where I just change about four cards, I decided to include the options in this decklist description so you can change them around however you see fit.

1) Pirate List: For a slightly more aggressive take on the list

-2x Argent Squire, -2x Righteous Protector, -1x Equality & -2x Stonehill Defender / +2x Southsea Deckhand, +2x Dread Corsair, +1x Patches the Pirate & +2x Southsea Captain

With these substitutions, we are essentially trading away a lot of our value in order to almost guarantee early board dominance. Furthermore, the inclusion of pirates allows for a more aggressive start so as to put your opponent on the backfoot and subsequently make him unable to deal with a large colossus.

Never forget, that you can always do a random mix and match of the substitutions as you see fit. For me personally though, I've found great success with the variants listed above.

Short Mulligan Guide

With this deck you always want to keep your early game options e.g. Argent Squire, Righteous Protector, Shielded Minibot and Muster for Battle are must keeps.

You always need to start off strong and aggressively keep your opponent on the back foot. If you think your opponent is playing a slightly slower deck, it is correct to keep a single copy of Furnacefire Colossus in your hand so that much like Secrete Paladin you drop your 6 drop win condition and push on from there.

Is Paladin your Class of Choice?

Well, if Paladin is your favorite class and you wish to play more innovate decks in order to avoid the experience getting too stale, then fret not for I have innovated yet another great Paladin deck using the new K&C cards. Furthermore, it even has Unicorns so I would definitely advocate for checking it out. Hope you enjoy! ^^

Author's Notes

I enjoy deck-building a multitude of interesting decks that are both entertaining and Legend viable (with some odd Free-to-Play lists mixed in). So if you like this deck (or anyone of my other ones) consider leaving a thumbs up, as it really helps in the long run! :)

Thank you guys for all your support and if you have any suggestions, let me know.
