Professional solitaire player theorycrafts non-quest Exodia Mage
The combo:
1) Draw a Sorcerer's Apprentice
2) Copy it twice using Simulacrum
3) Play Leyline Manipulator to reduce cost of Sorcerer's Apprectices to 0
4) 2 x 0-mana Sorcerer's Apprentice + Archmage Antonidas + 2 x Molten Reflcetion = Infinite damage
The gameplan:
1) Use cheap cards to control the early game board
2) Use Aluneth to draw deck
3) Use Frost Lich Jaina to survive the late game
4) Play combo to win
I welcome your suggestions for improvement
There's so many ways to insta lose with this deck is absolutely sad and exodia mage will forever be T2 or lower.
why is this listed as elemental mage?
This just sucks
Good idea, but deck which should work must be little different.
You need draw 3 cards fast (Sorcerer and 2 Simulacrum) before you can start use Leyline Manipulator. Really? I'm sure, exodia mage will be very strong in next meta, because many antiaggro mechanism comming and Blizzard start another try for slowing meta - and slow = good for quest mage. My opinion is, that Eater of Secrets will be new "must have" tech card in decks for neutralize exodia advantage.
in gold!
Why not run two Leyline Manipulators and two sorcerer's apprentices for consistency? Cut a Valet, Meteor or Volcanic.
I can wholly agree with this. Meteor is simply too slow in the meta, and against slower decks you kill them outright anyway. I'd definitely recommend an additional Leyline Manipulator and Sorcerer's Apprentice instead of the two Meteor copies.
Also, Blizzard is a stupidly good card, and making more Doomsayer combos is very useful in Exodia Mage decks, which is why it has overtaken Flamestrike for usage. I'd probably drop the Volcanic Potions, or one Volcanic Potion and one Medivh's Valet. With only three spells, one of which is barrier, it seems that it might be a bit redundant, or simply played as a River Crocolisk, which is atrocious tempo in the current, and foreseeable meta.
