I've made a hybrid hunter with the Finja package. It mainly hopes to prey on midrange decks, and/or mages. Standard hunter mulligan, but I wouldn't suggest keeping Scavenging Hyena and/or Dire Wolf Alpha without a reliable 1-drop. The pirate package replaces the classic Fire Fly/Hungry Crab/Jeweled Macaw, just because it generates more power on board. Furthermore, the pirate package further synergises with Dire Wolf Alpha, allowing you to put 4 power on board on Turn 2. Finja, the Flying Star is a huge game-swinging card if you manage to trigger his ability successfully, allowing you to make some pretty amazing comebacks from previously dire situations. Depending on your matchups, you can either swap out Golakka Crawler or one Scavenging Hyena for another Dire Wolf Alpha. If you run into too many mages, you can also swap out one Unleash the Hounds for a second Rat Pack.
I tried this deck just now - I am a fairly new player, ranking 15-13, but with mostly face hunter experience so far:
This deck seems solid, 4 wins out of 7 in casual as follows:
control mage - loss
quest mage - win
control paladin - win
silence priest - loss (badly)
face hunter - win
secret mage - loss
cthun druid (?) - win
On ranked did even better, 8 wins, 3 losses. This included a 6-win streak.
wins: evolve shaman, priest, quest shaman, silence priest, dragon priest, quest rogue, face hunter, control paladin
losses: secret mage, paladin, control mage
I found Murloc Warleader the least useful. Rarely did I have another murloc present when he came out. Typically the opponent thought I had some secret plan and targeted him right away, so his best use was the opponent wasting good spells/minions on taking him out. He is invaluable if Finja works, but otherwise he seems a one-trick pony.
