Heroic The Four Horsemen's Druid
Hi everyone and welcome to this week's Heroic Military Quarter's guides. I'm MrPLJ and today I have attempted to build F2P decks to beat those demonic bosses. The Four Horsemen is the final boss of the quarter, let's see what he has prepared for us.
Background Information
Let's start with the good news, Baron Rivendare is the Enemy Hero and his three "colleagues" are his minions... and thats it! Baron Rivendare will not play one single other minion during the entire game, plus he has only 14 life points! Sounds easy enough, well guess again.
Whilst the three other horsemen are on the field, the Baron will be immune to any attack/damage until Lady Blaumeux, Thane Korth'azz and Sir Zeliek are either killed or silenced. These horsemen are already on the field when the game begins, each having 2/7 stats. Also Baron Rivendare will usually unsheathe his sword the Runeblade on turn 2 which is a 2/3 blade which gets an additional 6 attack if the three horsemen are dead. Baron Rivendare also has at least two copies of his signature spell Mark of the Horsemen which gives Baron's weapon and all his minions +1/+1.
Final point to consider, Baron Rivendare doesn't play any minions, but will play a lot of spells and secrets (Paladin's secrets Avenge, Redemption and Repentance). In terms of spells, Baron plays a mix of Mage, Warlock, Priest and Paladin cards, including Frostbolt, Corruption, Mortal Coil, Soulfire, Drain Life, Shadowbolt, Shadow Word: Pain, Shadow Word: Death and Consecration.
The Strategy
- Muligan hard for Naturalize, as you will be able to play it turn 1 and possibly if you are lucky enough to have two, play them both on turn 2, in case Baron plays Avenge turn 1. If you don't get a good hand, I suggest you restart the game as it will be very difficult to beat him otherwise.
- After a turn 1 Naturalize, you want to throw minions at him so he starts emptying his hand of spells. Try your best to keep a silence or two in hand as well as an Acidic Swamp Ooze, you will need them when the last Horsemen gets buffed or when Runeblade is blade respectively.
- Once the first Runeblade is gone and the last Horsemen is silenced you can start going to the face whilst doing the best you can to survive through heals and taunts.
- Most of the minions in the deck as suppose to be difficult for Baron Rivendare to handle, they trade 2-for-1 at least and sometimes more. I've had him waste up to 4 cards on my Druid of the Claw, so the more minions you put the lower hand size he has and the more chances you have of defeating him.
- Last but not least, it is important to be very mana efficient, that will usually make the difference between a win and a loss. Having two mana left at the end of a turn and using the hero power can save you, maybe not now but later in the game. Also, saving those silences until truly needed or ready to attack the face is essential!
I hope this guide and deck will help you overcome this tricky boss battle. I personally have a 75% win rate against him when starting with at least one Naturalize in my hand, so persistence and good RNG will see you victorious!

made a few minor updates but it worked!
Tried this deck a lot, and it just run dry very fast with no card draw. Tried that best scored Priest deck and first try. Could have been just unlucky, but many times with this deck i was about to kill him but could not top deck needed card...
thanks for the one shot...i really needed it after the last few bosses..
Nice deck, one shot for me. Replaced a Druid taunt with spectral knight, but it didn't really come into play.
Had Naturalize, Defender of Argus, Spectral knight in opening hand. Acidic ooze broke his second weapon and I drew both Nerubian eggs.
Keep in mind if you silence his minions that you can attack face (didn't have to bother killing his last one)after silencing his Paladin secret buffed minion).
Also didn't even need the healing touches but drew both and ended up with 25 health when the kill landed.
Got it in 4th try, I found Nerubian Egg and Defender of Argus combo too mana+time consuming.
-Nerubian Egg x2
-Defender of Argus x2
+ Poison seeds x 2
+Recycle x 1
+ Starfire x1
This deck definitely worked best for me out of all the other options. I made a couple changes that made the deck much easier.
Baron's hard removal is insane and by using naturalize to kill off his minions and give him cards, you're basically giving him answers to every minion you can drop. As a result, you either need to drop minions that he cannot deal with or that give you value immediately.
I added these cards: Arcane Nullifier X-21, Spectral Knight, Argent Commander, Antique Healbot. I replaced some cards though I won't go into that because I didn't have some of the Druid Cards initially.
I can say confidently, though, that the Chillwind Yetis never got value for me as well as the Ironbark Protector. Overall, great deck. I think it's the best cheap option to deal with this boss. It took me probably 10-15 attempts to get it, but I was trying other decks for hours before settling on Druid.
We found some luck using a priest deck and made this video guide. If the Druid gives you trouble, try it!
me too with innervate also
Turn 1 naturalize was amazing. After that innervate + dual keepers to silence the other 2. took 7 turns till i had lethal. thanks again.
I did turn 1 , innervate followed by 2 naturalizes and it paid off ;) Thanks a lot for this amazing guide!
Nailed it pretty soon after using this deck. Thanks a ton :D
used only 1 neautralize and did some tweaking, works pretty well! but the another deck of yours against gothik is not working
Hope this deck has helped you beat the boss! Keep me posted and I'll be happy to help. Cheers for the support!
ty, and I tried deathlord instead of harvest golem it works GREAT, it got me to the end
Helped me beat them earlier today. Took a few tries (damn RNG), but it wound up working. Thank you very much!
This deck is Definitely Four Horsemen kryptonite!! Worked great, killed him on second try after an unlucky Drain Life stopped my lethal the game prior.
Deathlord seems like a very good idea actually. This may be especially good since Baron Rivendare would have to use a lot of spells/attacks to get rid of him, plus he has no other minions. I'll give it a try and get back to you on that, unless you already gave it a try.
Took a few tries, but this finally did the trick for me :)
