This is the deck that ive been runing since the launch of the expansion , it has some really good sinergies that might make people question its viability so i will explain some of the cards now:
Firefly: this card is probably one of the biggest reasons ive been so sucesfull with this deck , it just crushes quest hunters and pirate warriors, and it makes sherazin super easy to ressurect
Farseer: even though taunts seens to work better in the meta, the 3 drop slot must be fullfiled and it also sinergises with xaril
Razorpetals : they ara insane with sherazin , cicle auctioner with the coins, overall the 2 drop rogue allways needed
Biteweed : sinergizes with the petals, not worth runing two since it will clog your hand
Edit : il explain now the mulligan and give some tips
your normal mulligan against any deck that isnt aggro is going to be for sherazin or xaril , these 2 cards, specially sherazin are the turnaround point of the deck, xaril is going to do the job of tomb pillager to give you some spells to cicle your auctioner or give you some combo shenanigans (wich this deck runs a lot of) and sherazin will be your grinding card, usually reviving sherazin 2 or 3 times is childs play with this deck, if you have one of those, try geting razorpetal, Si7s and backstab.
against aggro your best choice is allways si7 since it turns the board very easily specially with backstab and fireflies, fireflies contest most of the 1 drops used by hunter and warrior(wich are the currently most used aggro classes) and even against murlocs(i dont see murloc decks very often, but its usually a very easy matchup), your goal in these matchups are not survive, if u just keep playing defensively you are going to lose, you should try tempo swing plays all the time, a common example: firefly on board, patches and nzoths first mate on board, if you have a cold blood on hand that can be used at the same time as you remove their minions, go for it, if they remove it its ok , less damage to your face and they need to spend time doing defensive plays
against control(no one is playing it but anyway) if u have an actioner and ur early game, ur preety much done, this deck crushes control , its not even funny.
i think thats all for now, any suggestion are accepted on the coments, im currently rank 5 with the deck having some struggle with mage(allways was rogue counter anyway), Enjoy have fun.
Edit: now that the meta has been kinda settled, i felt that the deck needed some changes, and after a lot of modifications , by my experience as a rogue player , and suggestions in the coments i tried and succed with this new version
you can easily replace xaril with some cheap spell like hallucination or another coin since the whole purpose of him was the cheap spells, but edwin is kinda hard, you could use biteweed(i used to run) it will be good but not the powerlevel of edwin.
Hi!
Just made a profile to say i am in love with this deck!
It's the rogue deck i enjoy the most to play. I dont quite understand the changes though. why remove biteweed and sap?
i made a lot of versions of the deck after i hit rank 5 to adapt to what i was facing, and by that time i noticed the sap was being a dead card against the taunt warrior matchup, 1 was enough to guarantee letal with leeroy, and after a lot of people telling me to play adventurers, i tried and was preety sucessfull so i let it stay in the deck, but bite weed is still good against matchups that are not ard to survive, so feel free to let keep it
Hallucination mostly or a tech card against something you are facing a lot example : argus against pirates
Shadowcaster works wonders with Sherazin...
IN A deck that aims to kill your oponent with leeroy as win condition it's completely out of space
And there it is, my regret for destroying Sherazin lol.
A
Sorry, but how the fudge does this deck destroy quest rouge. I followed the link from a forum thread where you claimed this is a counter to quest rouge, and it just isn't in any way
since this expansion launched ive been runing this deck to rank 5 , with almost 75% winrate against quest rogue, they've been a breeze to me, the real problem is just pirate warriors and "freeze mages", i really dont see your point in complaining about this deck since almost any tempo based deck has good winrates against quest rogue
My point is just that the neck doesn't seem to function as it was "advertised " so I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. and I spent a lot of dust on it, it's just pretty disappointing
I must tell you that if you ate not doing well with the deck , dont be harsh, maybe it isnt just your playlistyle , i must say that ive tried 5 different lists ive been runing of this deck , you should try changing what you dont like , after all netfecking isnt just geting an exact copy of a deck , you adapt lists to the way you will fell confortable
Replacements for Sherazin, Corpse Flower ?
He's a part of the garden tho :(
Kinda a hard question since the rotation of pillager sherazin is basically the best 4 drop for rogue, i suppose you coul try mimic pod for cicle or questing adventurer for board pressure but its a really hard replacement since the deck is built around it a lot
Sherazin is somewhat the centerpiece of this deck. I can't justify a replacement for it.
so how do i actually PLAY the deck? can't seem to win after 10 games
You contest the board with early drops , outempo with rogue shenanigans and cicle auctioner to lethal with leeroy , its the exact same thing as the old miracle exept this deck actually has early game minions to fight for the board
Replaacement for Biteweed? :O
Try Questing, Tar Creeper or Second FoK depending on if you're worried about making okay matchups better or bad matchups better.
