Meet the deck that actually gives Priest early game and sets them up. Even without getting any of the legendaries from pack openings, the dust gifted for Blizzard sending Classic cards to Wild should be enough to craft the ones we need. The deck is still very much in development and I intend to make changes along the way (maybe cutting down the number of deathrattles and using N'zoth as trigger to finish the quest, since you only have to summon the deathrattles, not actually play them).

Core cards for the deck

Early Game

  • Radiant Elemental: a better version of Mage's Sorcerer's Apprentice because it's a 2/3 instead of a 3/2. It's great for getting board control because you can drop a 0-cost Power Word: Shield on it on the same turn. It also let's you use Binding Heal for free, so it can save you a little bit of mana and net you a decent amount of tempo. In some cases, your opponent might use removal on it just to prevent the value it gives you.
  • Kabal Talonpriest: one of the most busted cards Priest has in it's arsenal. If you drop this on one of your taunts (or even a smaller minion that didn't get cleared from the board), you get instant value and a minion with a good stat line.
  • Crystalline Oracle: though it's a 1/1 (like a 1-mana minion should be), the fact that it pulls a card from your opponent's deck gives you options to deal with your opponent's board later.

Deathrattles

  • Shifting Shade and Crystalline Oracle: both of these cards give you a glimpse at the opponent's deck and give you options for dealing with it later.
  • Infested Tauren: a great staple in deathrattle decks due to the protection it can provide immediately and when you summon it with N'zoth.
  • Tortollan Shellraiser: having 6 health means it can take a couple of hits and its deathrattle is pretty nice. Giving +1/+1 to a minion can be a good tempo advantage. Because it has taunt, your opponent has to either deal with the stat boost it gives or waste resources so that there are no friendly minions for it to trigger on.
  • Volatile Elemental: Although there are a couple of classes you can't drop this on an empty board against, it's a major deterrent for your opponent dropping minions with 4 or less health against it. Against the classes that can outright kill it before they play minions (i.e. Mage, Rogue, and Druid), it's a nice threat when they do have minions because they have to consider how they play around it.

Board Clears

  • Excavated Evil: I"m honestly really sad that this got cycled to Wild, so I would have included it if I could.
  • Holy Nova: staple board clear for Priest, especially because Excavated Evil is gone :(
  • Dragonfire Potion: I only have one copy of this card, but I would run 2 if I had another. It's a very potent board clear and a must-include in any deck.

Other Cards

  • Binding Heal: a great heal for a high-health minion and gives you some respite from damage if you've been dealing with a lot of face damage.
  • Power Word: Shield: a great card to play on turn 2 with a Radiant Elemental. Gives you draw to keep up with aggressive decks. Good tempo for low mana cost.
  • Shadow Word: Pain: for pesky minions that you can't get rid of easily. Obvious staple.
  • Shadow Word: Death: given the huge number of large minions that will get dropped from Quests during this expansion, having this card will be a huge help in preventing your opponent from steamrolling your face.
  • Youthful Brewmaster: for bouncing N'Zoth or Amara back your hand. Since Amara is a Priest-specific Reno, having her bounce back to your hand will be a great when you're stalling for Holy Nova, Dragonfire Potion, or N'zoth.
