Normally I like to play more interactive decks, but I tried this out and it's pretty solid. I'll probably go back to attempting to meme my way up to legend, but there's a special satisfaction I get from other players calling me retarded for running Pyroblast. :)

Can this deck stand up to aggro?  I've played a fair number of reno variants and Im surprised to see Mistress of Mixtures, 2nd rate bruiser, and refreshment vendor missing.

In the tournament he had the ability to ban pirate warrior

I like this deck, you basically draw and stall until you are ready to alexstrasza, and follow the turn with inkmaster pyroblast + frostbolt ice lance, and or any reduced costs fireballs / forgotten torches for lethal. I've noticed this struggles against control warriors with high armor. This can also be countered by holding reno for post alexstrasza. I can't help but also mention a deck with such high draw early on might benefit from a twilight drake somewhere.
