Flood Zoo Warlock deck list and strategy - December 2015

When playing with the Flood Zoo deck, it's important to build up a fighting force of minor minions, which you then use to make favourable trades against your opponent's creatures. If you can keep this up, while using Life Tap to ensure you don't fall too far behind in card availability, you should then be able to start pummelling your opponent once you have full command of the board.

Don't be too hasty to do too much damage to your opponent until you feel very sure the board can't be taken away from you though. Certainly you shouldn't leave yourself vulnerable to an opponent's signature board clear while they have minions of their own out in play. Learning when to switch from the board to the enemy's health pool is a core part of mastering any variety of Zoo, and only experience will help you spot when that moment has arrived.

You also need to consider the positioning of your minions, due to the bonus Battlecry effects of cards such as Defender of Argus. Always make sure you're getting maximum effect from these important bonuses, and always think about how big a frustration you can present your opponet with. Make their life complicated and their plays inefficient, and you'll drastically increase your overall win-rate with this deck.
Things get really interesting with Flood Zoo in the late-game, where you can take advantage of your large board presence by fielding cards like Gormok the Impaler, Sea Giant and Reliquary Seeker - and this last card can come out much earlier on in the match. These all reward a big board with massive bonus effects, so plan your late-game moves carefully to ensure you squeeze every drop of power from these minions.

Flood Zoo Warlock Mulligan guide - December 2015

If you don't have The Coin, look for as many one-Mana minion drops as you can get your hands on, paying particular attention to getting Zombie Chow. If you have The Coin, try to get a couple of two-Mana minions along with the Chow to really ramp up your board development.

It's worth hanging onto Dark Peddler too, as you can use that Discover mechanic to round out any gaps in your early-game Mana curve. Against aggressive opponents (we're looking at you Face Hunters), Voidwalker is excellent for stopping the early board pressure in its tracks.

Flood Zoo Warlock combos and synergies - December 2015

Many of the card combos in Flood Zoo will be familiar to the traditional Zoo player, but here's a breakdown of some of the most important synergies to keep in mind when playing this new version of the deck.

- Your Nerubian Egg can be brought into play - and, subsequently, have their Deathrattles triggered - with cards like Abusive Sergeant, Defender of Argus and Power Overwhelming.

- Power Overwhelming can also be used to empower even the smallest minions spawned by this deck. It can be a great method for clearing a stubborn defensive wall. See also Abusive Sergeant and Defender of Argus to a lesser degree.

- If you can get the Taunt effect of Defender of Argus on your Echoing Ooze, you'll spawn two miniature defensive walls.

- You can use Abusive Sergeant to push a five or six-Attack enemy minion into range of Big Game Hunter.

- A minion with Power Overwhelming applied to it can be silenced and kept alive after the attack with an Ironbeak Owl. You'll more often than not want to save this creature for a late-game Taunt though.

Cards like Imp Master, Imp-losion and Haunted Creeper can have a knock-on effect on other key minions like Sea Giant, Gormok the Impaler and Reliquary Seeker. Do your maths carefully - you might be able to do much more on your turn than you think you can!
