twitch.tv/cashmere24 - I will stream the climb tomorrow again!
So follow me there and stuff, if u wanna see how the deck plays out and all that.
Edit:
Just a quck list of rogue 3 cost cards:
Cogmaster's Wrench, Beneath the Grounds, Perdition's Blade, Burgle, Headcrack, Fan of Knives, SI:7 Agent, Shady Dealer, Edwin VanCleef, Iron Sensei.
So yeah, you get the idea :)
Any suggestions for updating this deck for the last(?) season before Standard? I've been toying around with a lot of variations of this deck. Aggro is everywhere right now, so wondering what your thoughts are on this list. Any changes you think are worthwhile?
First game vs druid and it was a win. Nice deck
EDIT: Wow, played a few more games, lost a few by a few points of dmg, very strong and fun deck!!!
Y should be consistent to climb with this season too! :) Might climb with it myself, haven't really started climbing yet!
Prep really can't be replaced by anything else. Having two is essential to oil decks. I'd bite the bullet and craft the second one when you get the chance. Yeah, it's expensive, but it's a key tempo card that lets you use removal and put a minion on the board and make all sorts of swing plays.
As Backswitch said, preps are pretty essential, but if you are lacking one, I guess you can play a Southsea or something.
I've messed around with a lot of variations of this deck with just a few different cards, but I've come back to this deck, and it's extremely solid. I don't have 2 Violet Teachers, so I'm running one Piloted Shredder and one Teacher, which works fine for me. Otherwise, I think the only other thing that people might change due to personal preference is running two Oils over an Oil and a Blade. Scarab really is a star in this deck, no question. The ability to be unpredictable and grab just the tiniest edge based on the deck and class the opponent is running makes oil rogue just that little bit better, and having both a solid taunt and a big heal can buy you that one or two more turns to set up a huge burst finisher.
I imagine that we'll see more oil decks with Jeweled Scarab in the future, but the card just hasn't caught on in rogue yet. I imagine it will soon!
Really nicely done, Cashmere.
Hey Backswitch, sry for the late reply, thanks for the kind words! Yeah I'd rate rogue as the 2nd best Scarab class only behind shaman. Super solid, super consistent. I suggest running 1 ooze 1 scarab if you see a lot of aggro shaman on ladder! Cheers~
Scarab is a great card in rogue decks, period. Putting two in my oil deck saved my butt a couple times already today. I was facing a shaman with three 2 health minions, one flametongue, along with a buffed zap-o-matic that was 7/4. I played scarab, drew into Perdition's Blade, hit the zap with the 2 damage from the combo, hit the flametongue with the blade, then blade flurried to clear the board. It was a miracle play that felt so good.
I think this card is a serious contender in most rogue decks, actually. You can draw into a SI:6, Fan of Knives, Burgle, Perdition's Blade, Edwin, not to mention BGH, Arcane Golem, Argent Horserider, Farseer, etc. The fact that you know the cost of the card you're drawing and you have some choice makes it even more powerful, and can pull off amazing situational swings.
In a heavy pally/face hunter meta, it think its mandatory to go double fan even w/o Bloodmage, but if you're seeing a slower meta, you can go double sap/one fan if you don't have Bloodmage and want to go for that route of not playing a spell power / card draw 2-drop. But idk, I'd just play Kobold or Loot. Cheers!
now i can finally climb ladder with this roguedeck, what a time to be alive! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Gl man! :D If you are interested in raptor rogue, I have a list been playing it on stream floating around 100-300 ranks EU :) Its not mine so I won't post it here, I just added Sneeds as my personal flavor :)
i dont have sneed, i'm rly poor in legendaries and epics from packs and i tried to play this deck with sylvanas and cairne but this(mine) deck is kinda weak, also did u know about the bug? sometimes playing raptor makes ur opponent's game freeze and u can just kill him :p
Yeah I experienced it but I think Blizz hotfixed it :)
nah im speaking about other bug, not hotfixed one
there is a chance to freeze not crash the opponent's game when u play unearthed raptor having no other minions under control and even having them sometimes
Looks excellent! perhaps you could cut a FOK for a vancleef?
Could be too many 3 drops. because Scarabs give you 2x additional 3drops as well :) If you want to squeeze in Edwin, cut BGH but its sooo good right now :/ You'll get an Edwin from a Scarab, its fine :)
This looks like a great deck m8 *tips fedora*. I know Thalnos is Technically "irreplaceable" but what would you recommend? I'm gonna try this out later. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks man <3 Y for sure, lemme know how it works out :) If I didn't have Thalnos, I'd put Geomancer in there, but its just your playstyle preference, since Loot Hoarder, Kobold Geomancer and Shiv are all good replacements :)
That Scarab seems pretty useful,im thinking on put one copy in my Mech Rogue mainly for tryhard that Cogmaster's Wrench or Iron Sensei will be so good =) but have many others really good choices, In addition to that you cited for example the Big Game Hunter.
Oh damn, that is true haha! Could be an interesting addition to mech rogue, I definitely agree, just look out for how many actual 2drops you can play in that deck, if you can fit the scarabs in :) gl :)
