We all know how effective spam paladin has been in the meta. It has lead to some rather one sided matches in both tournaments and on ladder. So with TGT out I decided to revamp the deck to my favorite tribe. MURLOCS. Previously murlocs were the domain of warlocks due to the hero power pushing for so much. Then GVG gave murlocs to Shaman's who said hell no. So they were left with out a place in the meta. Then along came the Murloc Knight.
The strategy of the deck is pretty straight forward. Play the deck as if it was an aggro spamadin and build the board. At around turn 6 you will want to drop the Murloc Knight and hero power to get a solid board. If you have the Sword of Justice in play then your board just became sickening.
You will trade when you have to, but always apply as much face pressure as you can.
Mulligan
For all decks the mulligan is the same. Leper Gnome, Shielded Minibot, Muster for Battle, Abusive Sergeant, Divine Favor is also an acceptable hold.
This deck loses hard to handlock.
Just like every other Murloc deck, it's fun and funny for a couple matches, then it gets very samey and old. :(
Dies a little easy to AOE if you can't get out warleader or coldlight. Otherwise I LOVE IT
That's an issue with all Murloc decks. If you want to play Murlocs you have to be prepared to get anally destroyed by things like Hellfire and Flamestrike.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I couldn't have said it better. Well I could have but mods tend to get a little annoyed when I do.
anally is accepted lol
At first, I hated it. Than I mulliganned as the creator indicated and played it till the end without making any panicked trades. Amazingly enough, it works in 90% of the cases. Many times I was 100% convinced I would lose and, God knows how, the deck miraculously came around.
Have faith in the Murlocs!!! :))
Why am I suddenly seeing a murloc with red and gold hair wearing a giant millennium puzzle around its neck?
I considered the hammer as it give you better board trade, but there is something about getting an inspire murloc yeti a 2/2 and another buffed murloc that just warms my heart.
Is this good for ranked? I'm rank 9 ( before rank 7 ) trying to get at least past rank 5. And I don't want to craft these murloc cards if this deck isn't used for rank because I'm f2p
If you want something more solid I would say shaman, or priest may work better.
Deck is a dumpster fire.
You're playing this for brainless fast games. Win fast. Lose fast. Get your Mulligan, you win. You don't...you're toast. Fast, Fast, Fast.
With the volume of the Paladin decks on the ladder you get hosed just as much if not more because of cards like murlock knight.
Thank you for that rather nonconstructive criticism. Others have been having fun with the deck. Im sorry you are not. There are many great decks out there perhaps one of those will suit you better. Have a nice day
In my opinion, it's plays a little more like a mid-range deck. It really gets humming around turn 6.
if i would only last that long with that deck - I only face agro decks, which just destroy that deck
Great Murloc deck. It plays well where I am on the ladder right now, Ranks 9-11. Murloc Knight is insane if you can drop him with a Sword of Justice in hand. Kudos, Chiv.
really good deck got 5-0
it just feels to slow - you get rushed by every other agro deck
Looks like a very fun deck so far!
