Just got out of the hospital, where I've got to say I've had more than enough time to fool around with my new TGT cards to make some interesting combinations.
As you know with nearly all my decks, I love to make the underrated cards shine, so this is a shoutout to Bolster and King's Defender.
After much experimenting, I found that Varian Wrynn works best with a heavy taunt deck. His effect is obviously substantially weakened by a higher spell ratio, and nullifies Battlecry. The taunt of course has synergy with aforementioned cards, and also keeps your Armorsmith well-fed. Deathlord is a comfortable addition as this deck is filled with removals.
I'm quite glad to say Hogger works perfectly here, as he's safely hidden behind a sea of taunt minions and allowed to snowball out of control.
Nearly any taunt here can be replaced if need be, but I found through trial and error that these are the minions that appear to work best. Chromaggus was added to replenish cheap spells, and because the time I received a second Varian Wrynn is a joy I wish for you to experience as well.
TheSoverignOne:
Absolutely.
I originally had two, and even though it's certainly a nice card, it is situational, and Varian Wyrnn is more efficient the higher the minion to spell ratio is. I replaced it with an Acolyte of Pain just to keep draw more comfortable and for a bit of damage synergy.
If the meta slows down a tiny bit more, I would most certainly recommend replacing Inner Rage with a second Bolster however.
I'm a bit confused why there is only one Bolster in this deck, when it seems built around it. thoughts?
