You can't replace Dr.Boom.
Neptulon can be replaced with Black Knight, Sylvanas
Al'Akir can be replaced with Ragnaros/Doomhammer
You can't replace the Zombie Chow
I will try to answer all questions. Also feel free to ask me on stream.
Hi there! How do you play early game with this deck other than mulliganning for Feral Spirit and/or Creeper/Chow. Or is that how the early game works. Forgive me, i'm new. ^^
This deck legend worthy on NA?
Basic Shaman deck is worthy on NA lol.
I wish I was good enough to pilot this as well as you do. I just suck lol. I watch your stream but when I play I still suck. Rank 4 right now wishing I could get to legend
now that this is the front page, it is about to be part of the meta. time to find a good counter for this deck :p
Love the deck, really well done!
replace shredder is ok for healbot?
If you check the Reddit Link. The build has Antique Healbot instead of Shredder. I guess thats what He was playing at first.
Can i please ask how this is Meta breaking? It's literally no different to the standard modern mid-range shaman deck... I was running this exact deck just days after GvG launch and i have seen This exact list on this website many times in the top 6 (bar 1 or 2 cards sometimes) e.g. some people cut a Feral, BGH, for an extra DOA or sometimes a drake for the draw. Even pre-GvG without Neput and Boom people were running a Very simular deck with sylvanas and often rag or another tech card/card draw card
I mean the only meta breaking feature would be the fact it contains many cheap taunts and the DOA which is good vs the aggro/mid-range hunter decks out there.... But it's hardly Meta breaking as it still gets steam rollered by most other mid-ranges and it's certainly not a new deck idea
Edit: Also this deck would do a lot better against the strong Numbers of Mid-Range hunters if it had a heal bot
The Druid Meta lasted less than two days... This season's meta has been 80% aggro.
I've seen this deck with x2 sludge a lot... I also ran 2 belchers when i used it soon after GvG.
Yes it is way better than antique but i was not saying instead of, i was saying as well as (considering the fact that the Meta is almost all aggro). Although there is little room for card changes with this deck as it is of course pretty much the only mid-range shaman build out there.
Couldn't you have gone on one of the several hundred builds almost exactly the same and just commented that it's a deck styled extremely well to the Meta at the time? It's just boring when the top 6 decks are all cycled each season so we end up seeing the same 10 or so concepts each month.
I know you're a streamer and experienced player and so people will be interested to see what you're using/ you'll have followers ect. but when i saw a shaman deck in the top 6 of the week i was exited... I love shaman (it's a shame it's normally not quite consistent enough on ladder) and so i was hoping for something new to test with friends or a fun concept... I see a deck that i've seen decades of times... Deeply disappointing.
I respect the fact you clearly went through a lot of effort in creating the guide and streaming it and congratulations on reaching rank 1. Just bored of seeing the same decks for each class all the time.
Most Shaman decks look very similar since the core is so large. This deck is a bit interesting as it cut down to a lot of one-ofs to fit in 2x Sludge Belcher and a few more cards than can normally fit in.
As a long time Shaman player, Midrange Shaman has looked pretty much the same for a LONG time. GvG added Haunted Creeper to the core, with Zombie Chow becoming a popular anti-aggro tech. GvG added the option to splash mechs in the deck, but otherwise save for the options of Crackle, Neptulon and Dr. Boom that's it. Shaman has post GvG gotten access to some later game cards that synergize with the standard midrange list, which is why use of Violet Teacher and Gnomish Inventor is pretty much done for.
TL;DR, it's a midrange Shaman, lists don't change much. Don't set unrealistic expectations.
That's fine. I understand it's difficult to make a unique and effective shaman deck.
I completely disagree in what you say about this deck being interesting because of the belchers. Seen it done a lot of times before. Especially before GvG and so it's not new or at all interesting.
I did myself say that all shaman mid-ranges look the same although thank you for repeating that and adding to it in explaining why and what cards are ever-present. But that was the point... If all shaman mid-ranges look the same then why should this ''new deck'' be making top 6? Shouldnt we be upvoting the original poster of this exact deck list (of which im sure there were many before)
I am also a long time shaman player and so always look at any Shaman decks in the top 6 of Hearthpwn. This deck doesnt deserve top 6 in my own opinion. If it wasnt a recognised player in 11point' posting this deck it would simply blend in with the hundreds of other decks almost or even exactly the same... Although i respect that there is a great guide, he streams and so this page is not completely pointless. I Maintain that my expectation of there being a new Shaman idea making the top 6 over this cycled deck is not only realistic but a fair question to ask. I think the fact people recognise these trusted deck builders names can often be a hindrance as we constantly see the same people (bar one or two) with decks in the top 6... This is especially disappointing when the deck builders deck is by no means at all original.
Still waiting for yor incredibly unique and interestingly new shaman build that you took to legend. You seem to be the self-labeled expert.
No need for that.
I made it clear in checking the top 6 shaman decks each week i am looking for a new shaman Idea. Never claimed to be a deck architect or anything like it. Although i think just about anybody could build this on their own.
Fair play to 11point for spotting when to use this deck and taking it to no.1 Legend EU BUT.
This most certainly is not new, weather he made it to rank 1 legend or not. It's boring.
Because Shaman isn't easy as '' pick a random netdeck and cross fingers '', you have to think a little bit...
I have a 68% winrate against mech mage with this deck (-1 blecher, +1 doomhammer). My winrate against control hunter is even higher, and against warrior I think I only lost 1 game with it. I have found this deck to be great against all druids, warriors, mech mage, control hunter, demonlocks, handlocks, mech shaman. I think this deck is about 50/50 against oil rogue, priest (neptulon helps refill your hand after board clears), freeze mage (with doomhammer). It is weak against midrange and aggro paladin and zoo. I have only seen a few zoo players and luckily not many paladins as compared to a couple weeks ago. Right now this deck is great for me. Almost hit legend.
Do you ever keep Flametongue Totem in a starting hand ?
I'm aware it's good to keep v.s control with a good starting hand but I'd like more information about when to keep or not...
Great list, just one question -
Since I'm against 80% hunters/mech mage, would - Shredder + Kezan Mystic be viable?
Great stream man,
What do think about Thalnos?
Not his deck... Literally no different to any other control shaman, If you can't make literally the bog standard control shaman deck without neck decking from this streamer then i feel sorry for you
