Hey everyone! My name is Funki Monki and I'm an off meta deckbuilder! Today, I wanted to share with you this new metabreaker Face Hunter deck that I used to get Legend going 19-3 overall and 13-1 vs Mages. I posted a Face Hunter deck earlier this expansion and now that the archetype has been played more, I used HSreplay statistics to analyze 10,000's of games across dozens of different lists and archetypes to get you this most refined Face Hunter deck against Mages and Paladins. Currently, this is the best performing list on HSreplay against both Mages and Paladins so I'd say the stats worked!
*updated 4/8 using further data: -2 Bonechewer Brawler -2 Guardian Augmerchant, + 2 Felmaw, +2 Arcane Shot
I hope you enjoy this deck and found this helpful! If you do, please leave an upvote so others like yourself can find this deck easier!
This is my WR from my climb to Legend with this deck. I went 13-1 vs Mages:
I explain Mulligans and thought process for my plays in this video:
the biggest problem with this deck as in any hunter deck is draw.. there were so many times I had my opponent on the ropes but ran out of gas because of bad card draw or lack there of, which made it so they could come back and win. Otherwise it's not a horrible deck just would be more effective if it had better draw power.
since is started playing this , i havent played a single mage but still great winrate
so yeah make deck ...
first match up MAGE (imagine that ) at silver 10
DETROYED HIM 30 to zip !
im impressed we shall see how it goes ...but mages no problem lol
at least not ones in silver.
you're not world famous anymore? :D
horrible, very tired deck... don't do it unless u have the cards. it's like a meme deck with wins
Whatever you just said doesn't even make sense. The fuck is a "meme deck with wins". lol
a meme deck that occasionally get some wins and the streamer can trick u off with it
play the deck yourself or shove off. No one likes a kid who just flaps his meaty gums for attention without even knowing if the deck works.
I played, it's bad man, why am I even lose my time pretending it's not or worse, commenting without playing the deck. Maybe now it's better after nerfs, who knows?
Nah Im putting money on you just not being good at the game. Deck is working fine for me.
I might try that. I got rid of a raptor for another piercing shot because I found that extra face damage to be the difference between winning and losing in many matchups. It is usually an easy 5 damage since you have a bevy of 1 hp minions to target.
I also got rid of both Sunscale Raptor and subbed inSoulbound Ashtongue
Why?! O>O
I... don't even kind of see why you would want to do that, but all the power to you!
It's a very sticky 1 drop that you can easily buff to 2/5 for a very fast start. And the damage to your own face is acceptable because we are racing. And the 1/4 is good at clearing the 1/1 of Paladins.
And it is better than the 1/3 of the Raptors (with better stats too) because we don't want to clog up our deck when trying to draw our Warsong Wrangler/Trampling Rhino finishers.
fair enough I guess
This deck is fine against mages and paladins, but lacks against any other composition. Sadly enough, there's not enough mages and paladins in my games to make up for its weakness against other match-ups.
Thanks for the deck. I reach Legend today. It is a tough climb with a total of 62 games (35-27).
In between battles, trying to fine tune with Robes of Protection and Horde Operative.
Finally settled with
-2 Sunscale Raptor, +1 Robes of Protection, +1 Horde Operative
and push to legend with 17 win 7 loss.
I think you're on to something, because my very first game Sunscale didn't do jack.
Also cuing into 4 Mages with Deck on turn two or coined it on turn 1. Getting tilted here.
