Lots of stealth, deathrattle, and weapon support to warrant a very aggressive, but still high value rogue.
One problem I foresee this deck having is not being able to draw the weapon (R.I.P. shinyfinder and raiding party) so it’s probably worth it to run scimitar as well.
I've been playing Stealth Galakrond for a while, and I was theorycrafting something similar. Obviously the idea is to smack them in the face with a big weapon. Galakrond Rogue wins with flashy plays most of the time and/or ridiculous RNG tempo. The question I have with this deck is "does it have enough firepower to burn them down before they can stabalize"? Theoretically, yes. Consistently and/or against competitive decks? I'm not sure. Quest Warlock, Priest, Warrior, and Hunter all present problems.
This deck basically has no removal, so you are all in on smorc or die. Backstab and Coerce seem good. I'm not criticizing, since Rogue is my main class and I would like to see this deck be competitive in some way, shape, or form. I'm also theorycrafting, so I am open to ideas.
Some of my particular concerns:
Acidic Swamp Ooze - Hunter is cancer, and it represents a large portion of the meta. Is it going to change with the new set? Probably. How much? We don't know. I think all hunters run Ooze, and it wrecks this deck. Oh, and don't forget about Zeph.
Kobold Sandtrooper - This card is retarded in face hunter, because well...face hunter is retarded. I don't think Rogue has the same burst to make it useful. It is interesting with Vectus though.
Doctor Krastinov - Card seems good, but I think it is too slow. It is only 4/4 so you likely only get 1 weapon buff from it.
Akama - I like this card, but it never works. Blizzard hates Akama.
Sneaky Delinquent - Might be too slow.
I like the idea of a one-drop, but maybe Worgen Infiltrator is a better choice since it has stealth?
If ooze is a problem in the meta, then maybe this deck could run a Hoard Pillager to get the weapon back.
To be fair, I put kobold in before sneaky delinquent was revealed, and I wanted more Deathrattle consistency for vectus on curve. I think it can get cut now. After watching some of the YouTube games from streamers today, I think sap and coerce could be important cards to deal with giant minions. I think backstab will be less important since there are no combo cards and there doesn’t seem like as many small minions. Backstabs make sense if edwin or si:7 agents get added to the list.
Sneaky Delinquent makes Greyheart aage on 3 much more consistent which is why I included it. If it turns out that isn’t important, then I could probably cut one.
worgen infiltrator is fine if smorc is the main game plan, and it seems like it will be after watching the streams. I guess it will be better. Maybe I can fit a 2nd ashtongue back in with 4 1 drop stealths
Akama is fine to cut. I just put him there for deathrattle and stealth consistency.
Krastinov is a crazy amount of extra damage from your weapon, even with just 1 buff. if you deadly poison your weapon on turn 4, it's 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 = 18 damage without krastinov. With krastinov, its 3 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 = 32 total damage. 5 mana deal 4 damage to a minion and 14 damage to face is pretty good, especially since you can follow it up with steeldancers for 8 drops.
Edit: math was a bit off, but should be fine now.
for now, i cut 2 pharaoh cats, 2 kobolds, and akama for 2 worgen infiltrators, 2 saps, and a coerce
I like the deck, especially the Vectus package, but would definitely run at least 2 more turn 1 plays (Pharaoh Cat or Battlemage), otherwise you skip turn 1 too often, which is horrile in a tempo deck, maybe cut Eviscerate and 1 Ashtongue for that, Backstab would also improve early tempo
Thanks for the suggestions! I usually play slower decks so I guess I missed the turn 1 plays haha. Pharaoh cat seems fine instead of an ashtongue and eviscerate. I'm not sure what I'd cut for backstabs though. There will be 0 combo cards in the deck, which just makes it not worth the deck slot imo. Maybe the kobolds could get cut for something, but i think the extra face damage will matter quite a bit without leeroy. If I cut the kobolds, it would probably be for hooked scimitar or sap.
