This is a custom deck that I've been building for fun over the last couple of days.

The deck mostly revolves around Shadowjeweler Hanar to, well, basically annoy your opponent until he quits or he finally figures out how to kill him, and Spectral Cutlass which gets additional charges mostly from. Shadowjeweler Hanar, and is the major damage dealer of the deck.

For some reason, i have found decent success with the deck, where i have no problem dealing with all classes other than Paladin and Warlock.

  • Paladins because the deck relies heavily on Shadowjeweler Hanar and Spectral Cutlass, that by the time they are up and running, the Paladin just tramples you with dudes (that you cannot clear without Flik Skyshiv), or mechs that you simply cannot kill as they are just too big for the cards i'm currently running.
  • Warlocks because usually i don't have the tools in hand to clear all of their demons that they summon from their hand for free (or the ones that get re-summoned).

My main hope to counter these two classes are the newest two additions Vanish (the large board clear), and Gluttonous Ooze (mostly to counter the warlock weapon, but can help in other match-ups).

Now let's talk about the two main elephants? in the room, which are Mage and DH.

  • Quest Mage: I don't really know how, but i always seem to find an Ice Block and/or Evasion have a high enough damage on Spectral Cutlass to outlast the quest combo that they have, and eventually kill them.
  • DH: Usually just managing to get alive to turn 4 (which happens more frequently than i initially anticipated) means that i can at least get out either Spectral Cutlass, and Shadowjeweler Hanar with Cheat Death, in which case i can start to build up the secrets and/or weapon damage to clear out his board and eventually kill him.

I should mention that i'm currently Diamond 10, and have had a win streak up until Diamond 6 with 3 stars (using a slightly earlier prototype of this deck, which didn't have Vanish, Gluttonous Ooze, and had an additional Witchwood Piper). Hopefully with these new cards i can get to at least Diamond 5.

I'm mostly posting this deck here to get some suggestions as to how to potentially improve it, as i mostly care about playing a fun deck that i built myself, and improving it with your suggestions would be nice.

I can post my general strategy if people are interested in this deck.

Hope you can have fun with it as i have.
