This deck is what I like to call "Trivia Shaman - the deck with all the answers". It basically is a standard Highlander Shaman deck, however, it was built in my experiences facing against all the degenerate Face/Dragon Hunters while also being able to pose a threat to later control decks.

Play guide against aggro:

Hunters are perhaps the biggest threat to this deck. Half of it is being able to draw the cards you need and the other half is playing them correctly.

Definitely keep cards like Invocation of Frost, Hag Scheme, and Lightning Storm. Earthquake is too late of a card to keep. Also keep Mana Tide because it acts as a pseudo taunt. I've also found it very effective to keep Galakrond in the opening hand or Kronx. Zephrys is never a bad pick too.

If the Hunter trades a bit by trading the Mana Tide or Totems, then you can play it slower. Try to bait out more of his minions before clearing it. Also, play Galakrond as soon as you can so you can get some 2/2s or 4/4s to clear the board as well as the hero power being able to effectively kill the lower health minions. The 5 armour you get is also very helpful as that negates his hero power and the inevitable Stormhammer/Bow.

If the Hunter goes straight for face try to clear as quickly as you can.

Archmage Vargoth is very useful as it allows you to cast spells twice without affecting the Highlander. Remember that the Invocation of Frost casts on enemies only and the Vargoth cast still invokes. Also be careful when casting Hag Scheme on Vargoth as it contexts from the original card with 1 damage instead of the upgraded spell.
