Background

This goal of this deck was originally to create a Nomi Mage. Chef Nomi proved to be fruitless as getting to fatigue was incredibly rare.

With the goal of emptying the deck out of the way, a new strategy emerged. Could we get rid of all duplicates instead? Which deck would work best for that?

I already loved Cyclone Mage and it has a respectable win-rate, so what if we could add highlander cards to it to make it even stronger?

In order to do so, I needed a draw engine that didn't compromise the core deck. Elemental Allies was PERFECT because a lot of the core minions were already an elemental, Chenvaala, Mana Cyclone, Violet Spellwing and Mana Giant.

A Balancing Act

It took a long time to balance the deck around having enough spells to draw with Elemental Allies and enough elementals to support it. Another challenge was figuring out the perfect number of duplicates to include, so you could draw them in time for the highlander requirement.

What worked best for me may still not be the most optimal build of the deck, and it may simply come down to playing the deck until I find the perfect equilibrium. If you think you can come up with a better build, let me know.

Let me know if you've got any feedback if you give it a go, it's always greatly appreciated.
