We all know the token druid, and how it can summon a mass of Violet Apprentices to combo with Savage Roar. Here we have a Token MAGE. However, we all know mage has no Savage Roar, how can Token Mage even function? Basically you have a Violet Teacher make a bunch of tokens, play Echo of Medivh and Knife Juggler, and then you play a bunch of 0 mana 1/1s that deal a point of random damage when you played them. Your Sea Giant costs less for every minion on the filed, right? Well your Echo can double that number, and before that happens, those tokens are in you hand, reducing the cost of Mountain Giant.

A lot of people thought Hobgoblin was bad, and maybe they're right, but are you really going to argue that when someone drops a huge amount of 0-1 mana 3/3s on you? I think not. It's understandable if you want to sub this out for, say, an Enhance-o Mechano, because giving your Army of Apprentices a variety of buffs is about as good as giving them big ones.

If you do sub out the Hobgoblin, I suggest you also remove Onyxia, because her 1 mana 1/1 Whelps aren't as good without the +2/+2. I suggest switching out for other Giants of your choice.

Echo and Frostwolf Warlord have more synergy than you think, because they both gain value AFTER the effective playing of the warlord, because you can put the board that made the warlord big into your hand alongside a second warlord, which can benefit from the presence of the first. Onyxia also benefits from the repeated Battlecry effect.

You may have some trouble with the Duplicates, but it is guaranteed to give you something you can at least save to work with later.

There is some room to argue putting Gazlowe inhere, as you may end up with more Sorcerer's Apprentices than you think, making even your Echos cost 1 mana.

So, what do you think? Let me know.

Have a nice day.

P.S.: I would say the selling point of this deck is it's second name. You see, Violet Apprentices are identical to Wisps. Therefore it is also called "Bane of Archimonde"
