Hi guys,
This is my dragon paladin deck which i fine tuned a bit. (this is version 1.3 :p)
Because of Dragon Speaker you have the possibility to end a game around turn 8. +3/+3 is just an insane buff on Twilight Drake and Bronze Herald. If a game goes further than midgame you have your high value cards to follow up: Archivist Elysiana and Ysera.
Mulligan (most common match ups)
Token Druid - Murloc Shaman - Hunter
Search for your AOE stuff and low cost minions:
Consecration, Equality, Pyromancer, Firetree Witchdoctor, even Bronze Herald is worth keeping.
Bomb Warrior
Archivist Elysiana and Nozari are key in this match up. If you get any of them in your openinghand consider keeping it. An other way is to just play very aggressive but do'nt overextend, watchout for Brawl.
Rogue
This matchup is kind a like the old days with handlock against rogue. Play aggressive, mulligan for Twilight Drake, Bronze Herald, Dragon Speaker
I really enjoy playing this deck, so goodluck and have fun! If you have any advice, plz let me know!
Thanks for your comment!
Rogue is indeed a hard matchup. This made me remember the times with Handlock where Rogue had such hard burst/tempo play. Now they outvalue with their carddraw. When I played handlock I always mulligan for Mountain Giant and Twilight Drake because they needed to trade or waste their removal spells to stop me from killing them. That's why i like the Twilight Drakes in this list too + the body of a twilight drake is more efficient with a taunt from Sunfury Protector than a Crowd Roaster or Dragonmaw Scourcher.
Crowd Roaster is nice but there are not enough big minions in this meta for running two copies. It's similar to BGH imo, back in the days you would run only one copy of it. + 7 mana makes your hand a lot heavier than a Twilight Drake.
Dragonmaw Scourcher is a very nice card, it can combo easily with equality/consecration/Shrink ray so two copies is not bad. The battlecry + body makes them very strong against aggro decks too, but I haven't had enough moments were it really was the mvp card of the game. While imo Twilight Drake gives you much more pressure in the midgame to get to your outvalue point.
So, I think ,in the rogue matchup, pressure in the early/midgame is the key to victory.
Looks pretty good.
I made a similar list, but instead of Twilight Drakes I run a second copy of Crowd Roaster and Dragonmaw Scourcher. Rouges are giving me a real hard time tho. I guess twilight drakes are good against them?
