Velen's Chosen gives any minion increased spell damage for very devastating numbers on each Holy Smite and Mind Blast.

The most possible combo:

Radiant Elemental+Radiant Elemental or Vivid Nightmare 2+2=4

Test Subject+Velen's Chosen+Vivid Nightmare 1+1+1+4=7

Holy Smite on the 1-health TS 0+7=7

Vivid Nightmare on TS, Holy Smite on the 1-health TS 1+0+7=8

Velen's Chosen+Vivid Nightmare on RE, Vivid Nightmare on TS, etc. 1+1+0+...+0+8=10

Each Holy Smite or Mind Blast should do over 20 damage, more than enough to deal with some very high-health warriors.
