Here's a Guide Video showcasing the deck! Hope you enjoy.
Just like the other installations of this series, this deck is a taco shell waiting to be filled with beef. If you are experienced with tacos make sure to beef it up and add in a bit of spice according to where you are in this taco eating contest.
Here are a few cards that professional taco makers would use to raise the tastiness level. if you have those cards, please consider adding them, it'll increase the overall winrate.
For a full version:
-1 Loot Hoarder -1 Sap -1 Violet Wurm
-2 Deranged Doctor -1 Bone Drake
+1 Bloodmage Thalnos +1 Myra Rotspring +1 Cairne Bloodhoof +1 Necrium Vial +1 Spiritsinger Umbra +2 Carnivorous Cube
Mulligans
Without the coin: You need to hard mulligan for Devilsaur Egg or , Necrium Blade other cards that are interesting are Roll the Bones, and Loot Hoarder.
With the coin: The same basic rules apply here, but having a double Necrium Blade start doesn't hurt. Keeping an Eviscerate or a lesser onyx spellstone doesn't hurt either.
WTF lesser onyx spellstone Its no Vicious Fledgling
Gets a +1 from me as a new player. I was able to build the complete deck and even upgrade slightly for now. Getting me wins and quests completed.
Love to see people experimenting with the Rogue spellstone! played a few games with the deck, check them out;
(Games start at 3:10)
guys its a budget deck where the epics and legendaries make the deck normally what did you expect
Violet Haze
hi I'm a new player. from where can I check which expansion a card is from in the game? other than just check on the expansion list in the filter
Depends on where you are playing. On this site, the symbol next to the name of the card in the deck list shows which expansion it is from. (The candle is Kobolds, the green head is Goblins vs Gnomes etc.) On a PC or tablet, the name of the expansion is below the flavour text of the card. As far as I am aware, there is no way to view the expansion on a phone except for the expansion filter.
Hope this helps!
thank you so much! this is really helpful! ^^
Amazing deck! I had all cards for it and even added my Cairne as the funny taco recipe analogy at the end of the guide instructed. (I don't have the other "spices", unfortunately.)
I acknowledge several people commented it's not good, but it worked for me so I want to add my support and +1 vote.
Completed my 3 rogue wins quest in a breeze... Rank 20 ofc. Went 3-1 (loss was due to disconnect, turn 1) The three games I consider legit went thusly:
not too sure, i'd need to see you play
It's not you, trust me.
While Onyx Spellstone absolute can work (I've seen it work and have had it work personally), this variation is just too slow and just... not good.
Double Loot Hoarder instead of a Bloodmage Thalnos when you're running both Eviscerate and Fan of Knives?
If you actually want to give this a go, knock down to one Violet Haze (too slow), add DK Valeera instead of Violet Wurm so you can turn the Spellstones into 6 minion board clear and stave off death with double Rotten Applebaum's a turn. Oh, and of course swap a Loot Hoarder with Bloodmage Thalnos.
It's extremely slow vs the meta. you have to get the perfect draws vs their worst possible draws to make it to turn 10.
edit: playing vs another death rattle rogue helps. :P
Sure sure, glad to help: what I mean by "double applebaums" is that they cost five. Any card 5 mana cost or under can be played twice with DK Valeera's passive hero power, and being able to summon two 4/5 taunts with healing effects is great value off of one card.
Same goes for the spellstones: since they cost five mana, if you have DK Valeera on the board you can play a Greater Spellstone and play it twice, effectively wiping their board which by ten mana in the game is practically a win condition.
If you want to craft DK Valeera that's up to you. She's generally considered a great card, but even if you tweak this deck a lot it's still a bit too slow to really win with. I'd recommend looking at cards with the higher winrate and crafting from there. Best of luck!
most new players won't have the cubes, but other than that, yeah this is solid!
I like it when people change decks. But always list the changes please... What to remove and what to add. Here, I will start:
YOU ADDED:
AND REMOVED:
Please help me find the last difference.
Edit 1: Added {card} ... {/card} tags around known cards.
Just trying this deck out at rank 5 with some of the suggested replacements - laid waste to a Shudderwock Shaman and a taunt Druid. Pretty fun and seems like it's something people aren't exactly expecting to play against.
Having some success with Myra, Cube and a Necrium Vile in the place of the Violet Hazes and 1 Kobold Illusionist.
Managed to jump from rank 19 to rank 17 with it today..
Sure your full version will be better though..
Jesus fuckin' christ, this deck sucks!
at what rank are you playing this and yeah it's a budget deck for new players... it ain't gonna be the strongest deck
Rank 10. There are far more reliable budget decks out there, so don't use this as an excuse... Thanks for sharing, but actually, this deck is really bad... :)
