This is the best variation of Savjz's deck.
The OTK results from: Reckless Experimenter -> Coffin Crasher -> 2x Abominations -> End of Turn (with Mecha'thun in the hand).
Zola is typically used with Amara. Hemet will remove everything from your deck except the combo pieces and the Psychic Screams. The Screams are actually amazing in this deck.
Don't forget that your deck must be empty when you end the OTK turn and your hand must be holding only Mecha'thun. If you have anything on the board, it will typically get cleared with the 10 damage AoE from the Abominations (but leave space on the board for the 4 minions plus Mecha'thun).
Best of luck!
EDIT #1: Shadow Visions is great to get you extra Twilights and Screams. If you're finding that Zola is not really useful most of the time, replace it for 1x Visions. Will update soon!
EDIT #2: Swapped Zola for 1x Shadow Visions. You can also consider a 2nd Visions by dropping one of the Power Word: Shields. I've been using that lately and it's been working fine.
EDIT #3:
Currently, there are two specific counters to this deck: certain Mages with Explosive Runes (which kills Reckless Experimenter during the OTK turn) and certain Control Warlocks with Demonic Project. Instead of using Penguins and stuff, you can counter their counters using the original deck in the following way:
1) Against such Mages, keep a deathrattle minion in your hand together with the combo. If you suspect the opponent has Explosive Runes up, play the deathrattle minion the turn before the OTK turn to trigger the secret. If ER is not up (typically, the opponent only plays ER when they see you holding 5 cards and not 6), the deathrattle minion can be played during the OTK turn because Reckless Experimenter will reduce its cost to zero.
2) Against such Warlocks, you can afford to keep 2 or 3 deathrattle minions in your hand together with the combo. This will significantly reduce the chances that DP hits one of your combo pieces (and the opponent typically only plays DP when they see you holding about 5 cards and not 8 because they want to guarantee that they hit a combo piece). You can then play up to 3 deathrattle minions during the OTK turn because Reckless Experimenter will reduce their costs to zero.
And that's it! Good luck with your games and let me know if you find further improvements to the deck.
He is a really good fit for the deck because of the reasons Nizouuu cited. He is actually pretty impactful when you are facing aggro and keep rezzing him thru Twilight's call and getting off larger spirit lashes you need to survive. Being that I aggressively complete the quest against aggro I've found myself with three of him on the board and healing up for 1/2 life when they are getting closer to the final aggro push to close out a match.
Lies!!!
omg... I love this deck.. thank u.
This deck is the quickest OTK deck out there. Been able to win on turn 10 or 11 in all my matches.
I think this is going to be something you just have to deal with since locks will just hold off till your OTK turn and use 1-2 projects to muck it up. Adding a penguin or wisp just makes project a 1/6 chance instead of a 100% chance of not working out and restructuring the deck to play around this would result in a completely different combo.
however, having the deck include the quest can cause some misplays - had a lock blow his project really early in the match after I played the quest, hitting a ringer, only to find out shortly thereafter that he really needed to hold onto that. Either ran 1 or had yet to draw the second I guess.
the whole xpan has put into rotation a whole host of decks. the game is either 3 minutes or 30 minutes. The new lolz decks are fun. for a person like me with nothing to play for anymore its toilet time fun. I feel sorry for ladder players trying to get their cardback or people playing for golden toons. I have to laugh at all the people who dust cards. You just don't get it that blizzard does this shit on purpose to make you spend money or be left behind. Cards will eventually be useful you just have to wait. Why does anyone dust anything? I'm enjoying the laughfest with a complete 80 percent gold collection. The game is more fun when you can play any deck you want. I got 5 golden legendaries one being mecathun. playing this draw my combo deck yawn and win is great lolz. This is really easy to play and wins more than it loses. I'm showing my 8 year old what to do and he already has 59% winrate with this. Thanks blizzard. I have new way to farm gold in casual. my son laughs so hard. This is the most ridiculous xpan ever released so far. Leave it to the people with nothing better to do to craft the decks then hand them over to your 8 year-old for gold farming. Thanks blizz! A+ on this one.....keep the auto pilots coming
I only dust non-standard cards that's not even played in wild
Considering that over 50% of the cards in hearthstone aren't even played, useless non-legendary cards is an efficient way to improve your collection. Plus, there are always power creeps/spells being added every rotation.
Having an "80 percent gold collection" isn't really worth it for the majority of players, even popular streamers.
sounds like you need to take some tips from your 8 yr old to improve your win rate.
Most druid and warrior decks are hating us right now.
Make sure you play the combo pieces in the right order was well. Coffin crasher before ticking abominations lol.
Reckless Experimenter seems to be a pre-requisite for discounting those cards. RE > CC > TA x2 (with mecha'thun also in hand to be summoned to board for free by CC)
I can not believe how good this deck is! So far i'm undefeated with it
i spectated someone who played this deck and showed it to me. only person he lost was to another priest who played this same build and they both were 1 turn away from executing the 1otk.
i'm playing a mecha warrior build, and i have 0 chance of winning this kind of deck. because though i'm also more or less dragging the game to end game, this priest deck clearly has the better end game 1otk killer move that is hard to beat.
Effective deck got some problems with aggro sometimes as I have to hold on until turn 7 to PS opponent board.
Yes, I lost numerous times against aggro because I did not draw these cards early enough. This being said when everything works fine it's a breeze.
omg, so much meme ! me likey :D
I don't get it how do you kill Mecha'thun?
Got it now I just saw the video...
Here's a tip: Make sure your quest is either complete or at less than 3/7 when you drop the combo... Losing because Amara just got put into your hand is very embarrassing.
Ya I learned that the hard way. Conceded very quickly... lol
