Hey guys! This is a Tess thief Rogue deck I made inspired by Dane's Tess rogue deck. When I first tried Dane's deck I encountered a lot of problems vs. agro and midrange decks, so I made some changes and hit legend in Wild!

Guide

This deck has good tools against agro with burglar + patches, Strider is extremely good against midrange decks and cutlass provides very good removal and the heal you need!

Against control decks like cube lock, putting pressure on early game and maintaining board control with strider, husker, blink fox, or even a buffed up cutlass is crucial to survival. Specifically against cube lock, it's important to get as much warlock cards as possible since a Twisted Nether or Cataclysm can win you the game after the cube combo or Gul'dan is played.

Overall you want to keep burglar, husker, blink fox, or strider in your starting hand and since cutlass can be buffed late game, value trades are important to winning the game. I generally play face collector on turn 6 or 9 but depending on the deck you're facing and your hand, turn 3 face collector is also fine. Be sure to save some cards from your opponents class since they're good for Tess value and cutlass durability if you equipped it.

*Note: This deck is fairly slow, so don't play it as a tempo deck. Value trades and saving cards for late game are very important.

Card Subs

-Special:  a variant I made of this deck I subbed one Azalina Soulthief for Minstrel, due to the multiple control matchups I've had. Azalina can be potentially overpowered based on your knowledge of your opponent's deck and how you play their hand. I also subbed one Sabotage for Vinespine, since weapon removal is always good against tempo mage, cubelock and warrior (plus a bonus of destroying an enemy minion!)

-Patches: for patches there are plenty of good substitutions: Thalnos, Sonya, or even another husker. But note that even after the nerf, having burglar + patches on turn 1 can be good for trading and against agro. Even if you draw patches, it is a one mana that can trigger combos.

-Shaku the Collector: Shaku is a card that can generate a lot of synergies, and one of my favorite legendaries so I highly recommend you put him in the deck. If not you can swap him with Edwin Vancleef  for good combo value, Husker or Sonya.

-Strider: Swapping a strider with a Spellbreaker is perfectly okay, however sometimes it's harder against control and even agro matchups with one less strider. Other options: Vinespine, Husker, etc.

Overall, you would want to get the cutlass out early, have a couple minions on board and get some quick draws. If you worry about the fatigue games, might consider adding one kings bane to sub for a cutlass.

That's a quick guide to the deck, if you guys enjoy the deck I can make a video on it with a much deeper guide and some gameplay for it too. Hope yall enjoy the deck and have a great day :)
