This deck uses some new cards from the last couple of expansions to harness Deathwing Dragonlord as a hunter pet.
The big dragon is the only Deathrattle card in the deck, allowing him to be copied by the Seeping Oozelings every time. There are two stitched trackers, hoping to find Seeping Oozeling on curve.
If you don't draw the Oozelings, it's just a normal mid-range deck with a lot of end-game cards. The Netherspite Historians can help to curve out with dragons. It's gone pretty well for me so far, though a surprising percentage of foes seem to disconnect when my board is filled with dragons.
I'm sure the deck can be improved, but here is my reasoning behind not including a few synergistic cards:
1. Play Dead, Feign Death, Terrorscale Stalker, Princess Huhuran:
Silence isn't very prevalent at the moment, so the deathrattle is likely to activate without a preemptive activation. Enough dragons will normally be summoned that the second activation will be largely wasted. All of these cards also dilute the hand full of dragons.
2. Any card with Deathrattle, other than Deathwing, Dragonlord eg. Bone Drake:
The deck won't work if the Oozelings copy some comparatively terrible deathrattle.
3. Midnight Drake, Drakonid Crusher, Alexstrasza, Cobalt Scalebane:
The win condition is staying even on board until your board is full of dragons, not edging in damage. Most of the time there will only be one low health minion for Scalebane to buff, which isn't likely to have much effect on the board state.
4. Hungry Dragon, Hoarding Dragon:
I think the 4 drops in the deck perform better, but these probably aren't unreasonable inclusions.
5. Dragonhatcher:
The dragons are your slaves, you don't need to recruit them.
6. Malygos:
Destroying an 8 health minion with Flanking Strike the turn after you play Malygos is not usually a winning play. Better to have a dragon that does 8 damage without Flanking Strike.
7. Tracking: Tracking is great if you want to find one particular card, but this deck really wants to NOT find or discard Deathwing, Dragonlord.
This deck has been pretty darn fun so far. I happen to keep hitting the combo so that obviously helps as I am sure a bad draw against an aggro deck is game over quickly. I recommend not keeping any high cost dragons in your hand during mulligan even if you have the Seeping Oozeling in your hand, because you want to ensure you can stabilize the board early. I would, however, always keep the Oozeling during mulligan. I keep having Nozdormu in my hand when I pop the Oozeling which is fun because you drop an entire hand of dragons and then the rope starts, hahah! I wish I could see the look on my opponents faces when that deathrattle pops, I'm sure it would be mouth-wide-open.
Thanks for this deck!
Glad you're enjoying it! Yeah, always keep the Oozeling and anything 4 mana or less. Against Priest, once I have Oozeling, I immediately transition into as many Nozdormus as possible discovery mode. >=)
Fun deck :D
