This card is above average and will definitely be seeing play in constructed. 4-Mana 4/4 is pretty standard and along with it, you are getting a 2-Mana "Draw 2 Cards", where as usually a draw costs 1.5 mana. And for the "how do we get a 6-health minion". It's extremely simple to get a 6-health minion, there's so many options. Even in Zoo there is Power Overwhelming.
This card actually works with itself if it is buffed
Holy crap, that makes it even more OP.
I like this card, designed not to work with aggro style and yet, pretty strong effect if activated, not many cards allows draw for more than 1 card.
Calling it now, this card will be used a ton. Sure it's got that specific tag of 6+ health, but it's not that hard to get a 6+ health minion on the board. Plus, Priest is looking quite powerful and is extremely easy to get a 6+ health minion (Power Word: Shield will surely help).
Because Azure Drake is so insanely popular, I expect this one to be very close to it in a ton of control decks.
wouldn't that cause a old problem priest used to have and sorta still have: "over draw"?
I like the fact they are giving more options for neutral card draw. This might unlock some interesting decks!
5 mana 4/4 for 1 card and 1 spell damage dragon that is played in a ton of decks or 6 mana 4/4 for 2 cards with a fairly easy requirement. Yeah, that's called "choices" my friend.
You can not fatique unless they mill you since you have Jade Idol. Not saying it is a good strategy since every 3rd Jade idol you need to spend the card and possibly entire turn doing nothing, but given enough time you out value anyone.
seems a tad too situational...if it works it's decent, but if it doesn't it's a really useless card that poses no threat by itself. Just run Azure drakes and loot hoarders if you really need the card draw
Before you dismiss this card as too situational remember you have in this set the Grimy Goons who buff minions from hand. You have a 2 mana Dirty Rat which is cheapest 6 health minion you can play. Priests have Kabal Talonpriest to give a minion +3 health. You have the Jade Golem that scales with its supporting cards. You have good cards like Priest of the Feast and Water Elemental that have 6 health. "0 mana" 8/8 and 0 mana 7/7 and so on.
It might look situational but you have enough viable options to support this card. It is similar to Azure Drake if your deck doesn't benefit greatly from spell damage.
Edit: There are may other ways to cheat this card draw like Power Overwhelming, also I forgot Doomsayer for 2 mana. Also do remember that you can discover cards from other classes in this set.
I wonder, if this minion has six health when it comes into play does it draw two cards? It just says minion that you control so...
Don't speak about things you don't know about, because that's not true.
This is how it happens:
1. You play a minion (you make any choices needed, like 'choose one' and battlecry target)
2. Minion enters play
3. Battlecry triggers
4. External enter-play effects check (Knife Juggler, Addled Grizzly, Sword of Justice, secrets etc.) in order in which they are played.
This is why sacred trial kills onyxia, and mirror entity copies fire elemental after fire elemental kills mad scientist.
So the minion is in play when the battlecry triggers. This is also why all minions that interact with minions on battlecry state OTHER (Deathwing, Mad Bomber, Dread Infernal etc).
Minions that buff are for some reason an exception and don't state other even though they can't target themselves (i.e. Shattered Sun Cleric). This is presumably because you have to choose battlecry targets before you play the minion, since battlecry only triggers when you play from hand.
Long story short, this card will work with itself since it doesn't state 'other'.
I never claimed my answer is confirmed hence why I typed probably. I've been playing the game for long time now and this mechanic is still confusing when recalling it outside play session of the game. In the game you'll probably play according to past experiences more than solid understanding of how the mechanic work.
Sorry for the confusion
I wonder if this battlecry counts a wounded minion?
It won't work with Injured Blademaster for example. A minion's health is it's health in current state, not it's max health or health printed on the original card or anything.
He already has Violet Hair - to show whos his best friend --> Twilight Drake --> the double reverse Synergy --> Incredible!
Handlock: Why, thank you!
