Is everyone missing the fact this card says Rush?
The funny thing is a 5/4 rush is obviously strictly better than 5/4 taunt. I thought it was pretty obvious for any hearthstone player that this game is all about who gets to make the trades...
Wow why didn't they call this card Face Hunter???!!! A power creeped Leroy Jenkins which can Rush face & U can have 2 of them on your dock with Leroy.
Face hunter Meta Inc.
search what Rush does, this is not Charge
You understand that Rush means that the Minion can't hit face the turn it's summoned, right?
We need to see more cards, but the fact that this has rush and amazing stats, gives very excellent board control. Since HS stole this mechanic from SV, i know how these cards work...this card is very strong, especially if you are trading off killing a threatening minion they have on board. Plus this could be fun for micro board clears with say Shaman whirlwind.
I could see this card getting played by several classes. Its some good neutral removal that leaves a body on the board in nearly all cases. Your opponent gets some trash minions and will likely give at least one of them up to finish off what this minion did.
He's also a fun way to trigger MCT which could become a thing.
Arena card for sure. Too fair in stat/effect numbers to be played in tempo constructed games.
This will see zero play in Constructed.
I want to start by saying that activator-dependent cards are not inherently unplayable. Cards like Ancient Watcher and Humongous Razorleaf have seen the light of day in the past in decks like Watcher Druid and Silence Priest.
To show why Muck Hunter will be unplayable, I'll use Hungry Dragon and Cornered Sentry as case studies. They saw no Constructed play because they require you to spend other cards to optimize their effectiveness, and (unlike Watcher and Razorleaf) fail to offer sufficient upside. Whirlwinding a Sentry on Turn 3 for a 2/5 Taunt isn't game-breaking; most Taunt Warriors skipped the card entirely.
Suppose Muck Hunter is dropped on Turn 6 followed by Whirlwind, for a 5/7 with Rush. Now suppose we kill a 2/5. A 5/5 and 5 damage. Essentially Firelands Portal for 6 Mana, right? But you're spending two cards to do so.
The power level just isn't there. Not much potential, unless we see some sort of support for cards that summon minions for the opponent.
Cornered Sentry is played in Dead Man's Hand warrior
not bad, has potential.
I'll give him a TC-130 Mental Dislocator
mucklings?!
These cartoonish little creatures.

Wait... I don't get it. How is this a thing you would ever want to play?
Edit: Nvm I'm too stupid to read, didn't see the Rush
Very meta dependant, I'm going to be so sad when all this card willl be able to do most of the time is to pop Righteous Protector shield..
What the fuck are you doing if you're worried about a 1/1 on turn 5?
he will be when the 1/1 is accompanied by a 2/2 dire wolf, a 2/2 knife juggler and another 1/1 divine shield minion.
Great in Warrior after turn 4 Blood Razor.
With a card like Leeroy Jenkins summoning minions for the opponent doesn’t matter much because if you’re playing Leeroy, you’ve most likely already won. This guy is a great trading tool on turn 5, but also needs some help from other cards like Whirlwind or Despicable Dreadlord. But who knows, cards like this have surprised us in the past.
