Golden is godawful.
Still useful for Hunter and Warlock Nagrand and Twisting Nether finishers.
I feel like if you are running any 8+ higher spells, running this card is a must. I'm still not sure who runs this besides druid though. I'm still not sold on it being a tutor for Grand Finale in mage. That deck lacks removal.
Just a 8 mana 6/6 draw a specific card.... Is not quite playable, but is still quite good. But you also summon a random minion with, 10 cost? That's just insane. The new doctor 8 for sure. And you can set up the late curve with it too, for example if you had a 9 mana spell that you can just play next turn.
I think that this is a really strong card if the meta ends up being slow enough for it.
What? This is just insane without any downside and its neutral wth 90% of the legendaries in this game have worse effects than this neutral card
Ramp Druid just got better.
Druid could high roll games and summon this + a random 10 drop by turn 4... if not 3
True Ramp is outta control
This card is nuts
a late game card that guarantees late game draw plus another big minion (assuming you build right)
Like spiteful, you better not draw all your spells before 8.
Excellent card although just a tad slow. Cam set up elemental plays with grand finale if you are able to safely control board.
As it is an Elemental, it has decent synergy with Grand Finale, doesn't it?
I have a secret elemental tempo mage deck that I frequently use and I believe this would be a good addition. It has the elemental tag, so it synergizes with Grand Finale and guaranteed to draw it, AND it summons an 8-drop along with this 6/6 body. The value for my deck is huge.
But you have no immediate board removal for 2 turns. Hard to survive that late in the game. It will be very hard to control with this and then Grand finale. Rush required at least. You would have to run broom.
Well, I've just found the first card to be nerfed in the new set. It's a Spiteful Summoner that only hits your largest spell (thus you can play a normal deck with smaller spells), that also draws the spell and is +2/+2 larger, all for 2 extra mana. This is particularly crazy in Druid and Mage, both of which have powerful 8 and 10 cost spells that can maximize the value from this. Of the two, it's easily best in Druid, as 8 mana for them is closer to 5-6 mana for other classes and this could create a MASSIVE tempo swing.
My gut reaction to this is that it's going to be nerfed. A 6/6 and a random 6-10 drop is very strong tempo, about comparable to Power of Creation, and you get the further upside that you draw a spell which is probably your win condition (more than anything else, Survival of the Fittest comes to mind, although there are other strong things to pull with this, like Jewel of N'Zoth).
Wow this card is really good for two reasons:
1. Its a card draw mechanic available for any class.
2. Seems pretty powerful cause you don't even have to build your deck around this: it draws your highest cost card, its not random, so the value is guaranteed.
I really like the card, seems really good, specially for classes that historically lack card draw, like priest or shaman. The one downside is that is slow, and the minion you get is random, so you may die if you're not safe enough when you play it.
