Question: If my first C'Thun was buffed to, say, 12/12 and got killed. When I drop Doomcaller, the revived C'Thun shuffled in my deck is going to be a 14/14 or 8/8?
i'm not sure since it says IF it's dead shuffle it into your deck i'm thinking its an or scenario like say give it +2/+2 or if it's dead shuffle it into your deck and Ben Brode confirmed c'thun when revived keeps it's stats
were yugioh now
"Eye have returned." -C'thun
Does milling C'Thun count as death?
This is the card that single handedly killed the mill decks
It's more like Aggro decks killed the mill decks, because you can't really cause them to overdraw. It just helps them.
Buffs applied to the player
It will never see play. Even if you're playing C'Thun you can't afford to play a 8 mana 7/9 that does jackshit, ever.
Damn the hate is strong in this one. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but it's the truth.
Hearthstone is not this magical place where you can play your 10-mana card, it dies, then you play this 8-mana do nothing to get it back in your deck, find that dude again and play him again for another 10-mana.
Either your 10-mana card will put you in a position to win the game in the next turns or you already lost.
And even in this magical place your C'Thun has a chance to eat a polymorph/hex/entomb and this'll literally do jackshit.
Anyfin Can Happen can revive all murlocs, even those who belongs to your enemy.
This card, as it said(give your C'Thun.... if it's dead) should summon a new C'Thun for you on if yours is dead(if they wrote that carefully)
is dead? Does Entomb count?
I haven't played any of these but i'm pretty sure that if he was entombed or recycled, this card and ressurect won't be bale to bring it back since it never died in the game. If it was recycled though obviously it'll get it's stats still.
Question. If your C'Thun is dead and you play this card, does the C'Thun get shuffled back into the deck AND gains the +2/+2 or does it just get shuffled back into the deck? My first thought was the latter, but knowing C'Thun, it possibly could be the former.
It should get both +2/+2 and go into the deck. Dead C'Thun does get the bonus, as it's attached to the player.
For this card to be a real thing... The meta... would just be SOOO slow. You have to play C'thun, C'thun *DOES NOT KILL YOUR OPPONENT* and then you play this card to draw another C'thun. Like we're talking the slowest possible ever. People! Decks hearthstone is not this slow! Even with the nerf changes, you either win with C'thun's battle cry, or you lose to speed. This card is only helpful if your against another outrageously slow deck.
Meanwhile midrange decks are destroying you left, right, and center. Mid-range is the new thing... not this actually horribly slow arch-type. This is something that hearthstone devs would like to see, but there's no way that a 8 mana 7/9 is ever played in a winning tournament deck. Think about how much dmg potential is played before this! Keep the card if you want, but it's less than worthless.
The argument that the meta would have to be so slow doesn't really make any sense. If you're playing a cthun deck, you run this card, it seems mandatory at this point. Whether or not you played cthun yet or not, doesn't matter, you play this big minion and cthun gets a buff with the upside that you can still play it even if you already played cthun. I imagine some games will end up with you playing cthun and it doesn't finish your opponent on its own and you'll need another to close out the game, especially in matches against slower or control archetypes.
You're right, this is too slow and the goal is to kill your opponent with C'Thun battlecry only, if he's dead you probably lost already. But i'm sure C'Thun decks will be able to compete with midrange only because the curve is super solid, and the cultists are most of the time good cards by themselves.
So C'Thun needs to be Entombed.
Or Polymorphed.
