Card Clarifications
- Yogg's Battlecry effects all potential targets, including your own hero. (Source)
- Yogg is able to hit himself with the spells cast. If he dies during the Battlecry, it will still continue. (Source)
- This is no longer the case. If Yogg kills himself, the spells stop.

Praised be yogg.
You aren't praising hard enough. Yogg has deemed you unworthy heretic.
you are so unoriginal, just shut up and stop responding your bad joke to everyone
Another Card Clarification:
He made me Sprint when I was in fatigue
Not even mad, this card is super fun
i've seen a video, when both heroes died because of yogg
and another when 2 pyros finished off the player who played yogg...
the worst feeling is when yogg refills your hand with bunch of cards and then casts astral communion.
I feel like people throw the term 'cancer' around very liberally. Is it actively destroying both the player base and the core gameplay mechanics? No? Then it probably isn't pure cancer. Yogg is a card that can totally turn matches around, that is true, but these are often because it is played when a match is down to its last inch. It is effectively the equivalent of launching a nuclear missile without any GPS. There's a reason it isn't seen in tournament play, it is a wacky and unreliable card. As Hearthstone is a game (which are primarily about (believe it or not (it is true though)) fun), I think its a great addition. There are so many worse cards out there in terms of 'brokenness', Yog just turns everything up to 11.
Be thankful they scrapped the version that only cast spells you cast during the game... That would've been extra broken with a side of broken sauce.
For those who still have doubts about crafting Yogg
Is it better than Antonidas in a tempo mage?
Currently yes due to how fast paced the metagame is with zoolocks and shaman being top tier. Antonidas is slower paced, and you're likely to use up the cheap spells that usually combo with Antonidas in the early game nowadays. A shift to control could make Antonidas more worthwhile though, and it's not a terrible inclusion in a tournament setting, it's just awkward to play on the ladder at the moment
This card stole so many of my won games, I dont even find it funny anymore.
Possibly the only kind of RNG that I can't stay mad at. Yogg brings health to this game, and I won't even get to how epic he gets in wild with even more spells at his disposal.
What scares me the most is people managed to make an archetype with Yogg, and it's working. God I hate Yogg-Token Druids yet love them at the same time.
How many pyroblast to your own will you take before taking this guy out of your deck? He seems so good in most situations, but I'm afraid to craft him only to get unlucky and never play him again. Worth crafting or nah? I have most of the good cards already.
I don't think you should cause it could just kill itself and do damage to your hero. its just luck
Crafted him golden right after the release day, might not be game-winning card but still a ton of fun to play
Well Sylvanas Windrunner actually made me very unhappy and surprised during my Yogg 20 spells chaos..After one spell killed her, he took Yogg and more than 10 spells he cast for my opponent instead of me..
Never thought it can happen :-(
