This dude singlehandledly won me lots of arena runs, so damn good
Amazing arena card, Best case is playing this turn 4 with Coin, worst case it's a 5 mana 3/7 which is 1 less stat than a Pit Fighter, Overall good card, There aren't many cards i would pick over this.
I think this card will see more play with the new Rogue cards comming out and might see a control rogue.
Great arena card: if you have the coin, its a turn 4 boulderfist ogre...
not really if your oppopent preist and has shadow word death iot can destoruy th minion for low cost in arena
haha priest
Always easy to combo it,best scenario course is 6/7 on turn 4 (with coin) and it is really strong and hard to deal with...
Bolvar nerf
At least better than Gallywix
With reveal of Cutpurse this card makes much more sense. Getting this out on Turn 4 as a 6/7 is nothing to sneeze at. Getting that to happen regularly enough to even try is obviously risky.
- is never going to happen.
shiv is a high cost card, fyi. imagine how impressive a turn 7 6/7 deal 1 dmg is.
I guess Blizzard is trying hard to make Rogue as different playstyles (Control), thus, created this card.
But it's just not the nature of Rogue to be in a control position.
Its ability is to burst your opponent down from 20 Health is what makes Rogue, a Rogue, a silent killer, surprise motherf*cker (that escalated quickly).
This seems more like a midrange card imo, which is definitely more doable for Rogue than control.
Constructed it's obviously not gonna be seen in high ranks but this is insane in arena. Rounded control rogues are one of the best arena drafts.
This is an awesome drop on turn 4 if you have the coin, but if you don't really get that cool turn 4 drop with this card then it could be a little more difficult to make it work well enough.
I really like the design, but it just doesn't seem to fit in rogue right now and its a expensive combo
I'd compare this to ogre ninja. This just gains 1 hp, no stealth, and is a silence target and you have to get the combo off. Honestly, I think ogre ninja is better. The 50% chance to miss isn't usually relevant to rogue because with rogue, you have to clear the board every turn anyway. I've used ogre ninja a lot and it's actually a decent card. I'll try using this card but I don't see it competing. Will make rogue waaaaaaaay better in arena though!
This card has the potential to be an absolute beast for Rogue players. People talking down about the card seem to keep forgetting that Miracle Rogue and Oil Rogue primarily will see this card as a finisher for their decks. It could serve as opportune Polymorph/Silence/Hex bait to lure such spells away from Edwin and Gallywix. Or some larger spells such as Fireball or Kill Command.
In a way it's worst then Boulderfist Ogre. Yeah Yeah you can coin it turn 4 or "force yourself" to use prep/backstab to play him BUT in most cases he is 7+ drop becasue you won't have those cards. Turn 5 3/7 might be ok... I guess.
And ofc we are talking about arena becasue he has no point of existance in constructed.
