- You do not gain Excess Mana if it is played when you are at 10 Mana Crystals. (Source)
Battlecry: Gain an empty Mana Crystal.
Deathrattle: Lose a Mana Crystal.
She loves mana crystals, she hates mana crystals. So fickle!

i meant it's a combined thing. It has Zombie Chow stats and Wild Growth combined in 1 card, and the downside is kind of un-important because you already got ramp as Battlecry. Piloted Shredder nerf yeah right. Late game this is like a river croc, it's 2/3 vanilla, which is kind of useless.
a pretty interesting card indeed
first thing i though of was the comparison between Darnassus Aspirant and Pint-Sized Summoner
2 mana 2 attack 3 hp vs 2 mana 2 attack 2 hp
works on all cards vs works only on minionsworks on turn 10 vs does nothing on turn 10
Ok, Pint-Sized Summoner is not a good card, but this is an very obvious improvement
the text on the battlecry of Darnassus Aspirant is the same as the text on wild growth. I feel on 10 mana this might give you an excess mana card.
Because class cards are designed to be better than neutral cards. Example: Savage Combatant vs. Lost Tallstrider
I think the best comparison to this card is pint-sized summoner. It's basically a pint-sized that has better stats and work with spells: you have one more mana while this is alive.
I don't think a slightly better pint-sized is good enough to be used in constructed, and I don't think ideas like silence or brewmaster would work well. This is because if you're spending a silence to "gain a wild growth" you might as well just play wild growth (but not gain a 2/3) and silence something more important. Brewmaster is just too slow and weak by itself.
A good card in arena though, because although I don't think the fact that it work with spells compared to pint-sized summoner is that relevant in arena the 1 more health is really good.
And yeah there are interactions like deathlord, shredder, sylvannas, mind control tech etc. when this is very different from pint-sized.
Also great counter for mirror entity.
That's a solid card, great value for 2 drop. I wouldn't waste my silence, I suppose. It requires for the opponent to deal with it, so will be good against tempo decks. If they don't/can't, you get an advantage to use your extra mana next turn. It's a benefit for each scenario. Loved it!
so on turn 2 you have Wild Growth and Darnassus Aspirant...which do you use first?
Darnassus Aspirant, also called now one of the worst things to get out of a piloted shredder....
I think this card is great though, don't get me wrong
I think the worst thing to come out is doomsayer. Well it may be the best, based on the board.
Why do I feel like they are going to regret this?
Wild Growth on Legs loool
I laughed
Ancient brew master my old friend i will see you again.
Forget about silencing this card or Recombobulator to add useless cards to your Combo deck. Just think of it as the new Wild Growth card that summons a 2/3 minion + free mana crystal*. This card is going into my FoN + SR deck immejiately! 4Head
This is a great card because it is essentially a zombie chow because it cost 2 but give you 1 full mana crystal making this essiantial a 1 mana 2/3
Not really a nerf. After doing a quick count, before this expansion, every minion with a two mana cost had a 2.325% chance of popping up out of a Piloted Shredder. (Yes, I counted.) As of right now, there are 43 minions with a 2 mana cost. With new minions that are slated to pop up in this expansion, the number will increase even more, in other words, making this card in particular roughly being around 2% or below.
Decent card.
They said we wouldn't be disappointed in the Druid cards!!!
"WOOW JUST SILENCE IT AND IT'S THE BEST CARD EVER"
Why would you ever waste a silence on a "weak" card like this? You will probably not even be able to take advantage of it because your opponent will most likely remove it the turn after it's played. Frostbolt, Wrath, Darkbomb, Dagger+Deadly poison, etc removes it with ease. Rendering this minion as a mere 2/3, like a River Crocolisk
2 mana 2/3 is a decent good early game trading minion, but you really dont want to trade with this.
