Interesting interplay with Piloted Shredder here. If you play it out on curve, your opponent's shredder kills and keeps its 2 cost dude. Bummer.
However, if you get this out ahead of their shredder with some acceleration effect, now your hero power can kill the shredder and this guy goes to the face for 5. Pretty sweet.
Anyway, this is a seriously good card. Darnassus Aspirant gives us another way to accelerate into this guy too. Only real problem I see is how many other seriously good druid 4 cost cards there are.
Goblin Blastmage of the Druid. It's gonna be good probably.

I've seen many people complaining that Savage Combatant's 4 health makes it unplayable because it's worse then Piloted Shredder. Don't get me wrong, I see the obvious reasoning for it. But Savage Combatant (in my opinion) is actually a good counter minion against it as well.
The reason being the fact that we are talking about druid here. And when I say druid, I say ramp.
Druid can play high Mana creatures on early turns, allowing them to get ahead in value and power.
To compare: A druid can play a Savage on roughly turn 2 with Innervate and Wild Growth. Even Turn 1 If you have a Coin.
Any other class would take up to turn 3 (coin) before playing a Shredder. Not to mention all forms of 4 damage removal (unless you're a Mage with Flamecannon, in which case, I can understand Shredder being better).
Plus, Savage's inspire can remove Shredder in exchange for 3 damage to face, all the while only using 1 card.
So in the end, if we can create a Ramp deck that can effectively replace one of it's 4 drops (even dropping on copy of them), then this card can be of great value.
Also, in my opinion, if it was a 4/5, it would be considered OP, because Chillwind Yeti powercreep, and nearly no way to remove it in-game (No 5 damage removal by turn 4 other then Fireball)
So far one of the better cards, which has been revealed. Good stats and it has some beast synergies. Also the buff of the hp is pretty nice. I don't know if it really fits one of the current Druid decks, but in Arena this will be a good card for sure.
I would like to have this card in hunter, I like beast hunter and it is just a better card than my Lost Tallstrider.
Experienced SMOrcs can actually hit face WITHOUT seeing the face. 0_0
i think this card is good because it's a beast and works with the beast synergy that blizzard is trying to create in the druid arsenal a.k.a Druid of the Fang i tried to make beast druid work and it wasn't quit there so this card may be the tool that we have been wating for to make the beast druid shine

OK you have a point bro. Hemet is situational. However,to take out Malorne, King Krush or Maxxena? Value. Cho is good tho. He can lock down and opponent(Priests I'm looking at you) from using his spells, so its generally decent if you don't run a spell heavy deck
I truly do not believe that Druid players may use this with the current meta. Druid has amazing cards on 4 mana like Swipe & Keeper of the Grove that every Druid player runs x 2. Due to the fact that also 5 mana minions are also great in Druids decks, I'm wondering which card could replace...
Most combo druids run Piloted Shredders, and, although this card compares poorly to Piloted Shredder, perhaps another Druid archetype could see this card alongside Keeper and Swipe in place of Shredder for a Savage/Beast deck. Maybe...
