Even face hunters play him. That's when you know Boom's value is beyond the normal.
Lightbomb will make a perfect answer to him and his boom bots
And then you take 8 to the face.
the % of that happening is 12.5% ...however that happened to me once (both of the guy's boom bots dealt 4 damage)

I used to think that Dr. Boom was fine, but after using him for 6 months, I'm convinced that he needs a nerf. Here's my idea, in three steps:
And even after all that, I probably wouldn't disenchant him, though I would consider using Baron Geddon as my 7-drop in certain decks.
Is Dr. Boom having a negative impact on the game? Making certain things unplayable or making certain decks OP as fuck? No, he isn't. He's fine as is I don't think he requires change
Overcentralization is a thing. To take a Magic the Gathering example, Deathrite Shaman wasn't necessarily banned in Modern because it was overpowered, but because too many decks benefited from playing it, and it stagnated the format. Or, going back to this game, look at the nerf on Nat Pagle. Almost every deck could be made smoother by playing him, and though he wasn't particularly strong, he was too consistent to keep as-is.
Look at how many decks play Dr. Boom, and then look at how many play practically any other card, 7-drop or not. This is not a healthy metagame, and no amount of Big Game Hunters and Shadow Word: Deaths can change that. We need a change, and the sooner, the better.
well when 40 percent of decks across all classes are running him its hard for one deck to become OP with his presence. The point is should there even be neutral cards that are auto includes in over 40 percent of decks? I feel like the game will balance out over time but its ridiculous they wont slightly buff cards like Al'Akir the Windlord (which is played in only 24 percent of shaman decks) but claim Boom is just fine. Or are they just going to wait for the next booster pack expansion, so they can keep selling GvG packs because tbh its one of the few good cards in the set.
