The exact card we needed to complete the silver hand arc type paladin is getting brilliant. 1 mana yogg that count to your 10 mana yogg later the dev are playing 4d chessed whill everyone playing checkers.
seems like it has potential to frick someone
It's a cool card, but it's not really a secret if this is the only secret paladins are going to play. You need at least 2 but preferably 3 good secrets to put any secret into your deck.. otherwise your opponent will know it's this one and can easily play around it. The randomness can still screw him over, but it can just as easily screw you over aswell.
With more secret support, i love it. Without more secret support, i dont think it's going to see play..
I think it can still see play without more secret support. We all know that certain decks play specific spells that usually give them the upper hand during a match Ex: Guardian Animals or Blessing of Authority. So if opponent has coin force him to use it early and then the second Oh My Yogg! for opponent's turn 8 against druid for example.
I agree, some spells have an highly increased winrate if played like on curve or even a turn earlier, and this spell might deny it, even if played around
That's true, but i still don't think that you would give up 2 deckslots to fit this card in. And spending 1 mana + a card to possibly mess with your opponents next turn.
The paladin decks that are being run right now have their own gameplan. Adding in cards that mess with your opponents gameplan will make the deck less consistent. Also paladins don't have enough draw right now to play cards like this. Drawing two copies of this in the early game will instantly lose you the game.
Very interesting card. First thing that came to my mind is that this could counter any OTK using spells. Great card for situations where you know exactly what spell opponent usually play at key turns (example counter the ramp up spells of druid). This spell can backfire though.
This is literally 1 mana counter spell. Odd paladin in wild might run one of them.
Secret Paladin might crawl out of it's cave? https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1368028-darkmoon-secret-paladin
Great card !
+++ give me more.
That's brilliant. I love it.
I'm sure it'll cost the paladins that play it a few games, but c'mon. That's just Yogg.
Paladin secret that is actually bonkers.
But... why?
Quest decks will have to toss their coin when they go second if Paladin has a secret up.
what if
counterspell
but for 1 mana?
It isn't counterspell. In early-mid it's pretty ok. You won't get so punished for <= 4 mana spells. On the other hand, at 5 >= mana things get crazy. Brawl, Soul Mirror, Power of Creation, Pyroblast, Box... This can get out of hand pretty easily with this card.
In Portuguese this is called (translated of course) "Yogg help me" which I think is funnier
Não seria "Ó meu yogg!" no sentido de espanto?
Is it just me or does this feel like more of a wild xpack then a standard one?
This card is pretty much useless in standard since pools are too small to really give you a wide range of effects. Not to mention how shallowe higher cost spells are. A mage cast puzzle box, then what? They'll pyroblast something for 10 damage, buff everything by 4/4, MC something, summon 2 copies of a card from their deck, or summon a field full of taunts or direhorns to attack crap.
